Love how she rides a cart and horses through the old trope of needing greaseproof and baking beans. None of that for Delia! You just take a look at it halfway through, and if that pastry has dared to misbehave, you slap it down! Love her practicality. Delia always wants to help you and to eliminate ‘bother’ when cooking. And with her, you know she’s rigorously tested and trialled any piece of advice she gives.
