With the fact that he always comes off so happy to be performing, and the way he sometimes brings fans onstage to sing/perform along with the rest of the band AND gushes over them when they're actually great, is amazing. Foo Fighters in general, and Dave Grohl specifically, are absolute legends in my book. Plus, they fucking rock.

@ClwkInstnct3 жыл бұрын
Dave wrote this song from a bad mental state. He was lonely and depressed, and came up with these chords and lyrics. And if you think of it, this turned from a song that came from a dark place, to a song that’s played to get out of that dark place. Now, he’s performing of upward to 300,000 people, and for millions of people, it is their happiness anthem. Crazy, went from a small band to playing stadiums.
@th3_W0k3_f0Lk9 күн бұрын
actually...he wrote this song about his ex girlfriend...Louise Post of Veruca Salt...and it's about falling in love and it being so absolutely amazing that you can barely articulate it...according to Dave...

I watch the Foo Fighters Glastonbury show often. I believe it to be how a rock show should be done. It’s just brilliant. I watch today with extreme sadness having learned that Taylor Hawkins has passed away. He played with enthusiastic energy giving each performance everything. It is such a tragic fact that today he went to his rest. A truly exceptional artist and good to his fans. Fame never got in the way of that . Of more importance he was a husband and father. Just 50 years old and gone. Christ almighty. ! He leaves us with a great legacy of music to remember him by. This is my favourite.

At the time the Foos started to play 'Everlong' i rememeber the lad just stood on his knees and proposed his girlfriend to marry. A Glasto moment I will cherish forever in my heart
