Society declaring this move as brave is really the sad part of it. If our Sexuality wouldnt be such a massive problem in the first place then this would never bring anyone to see this move as brave. So in reality, we are all letting us chain ourselves up by rigid and rigourous sex rules which we think we cannot escape ourselves. Quite the opposite is the case. Just think differently. That's all it takes.

It’s absolutely brilliant that a film of this nature - a story of a sexual business transaction between an older woman and a young man (I hv not seen the film yet so this was gleaned from this empathic interview ) - is now, thanks to MeToo, almost mainstream. I look forward to a similar themed film between an older man and a young woman that isn’t portrayed as a grubby and exploitative by the ‘dirty’ old man or the ‘scheming’ young woman. That is simply, as I take this film is to be, simply two souls meeting and agreeing to be together for a while, whatever the initial transaction.

Not really. She was in a more or less happy marriage with an unsatisfactory sexlife. She was bored of mediocrity and wanted to do something wild for once in her life before she kicked the bucket. Leo himself was running from his past and simultaneously doing what brought him lust and happiness which he also saw as his calling. It's a story of an older woman letting go of old ways and finding acceptance though reassurance and a younger man's acceptance though her forcing him to work though his past traumas. It's really quite nice. It feels sincere.
