But I am a widow under 50 that was married to my first boyfriend for 27 years and I am EXTREMELY conservative. I absolutely LOVED and NEEDED this movie. Thank you so much to everyone who made this. Ohhhh, I love this so much! As a "mature woman" at 58, I have literally told a friend recently that when I'm ready... I'm going to hire for pleasure. Not surprising it's written by a woman and she's right on time! Because so many women are at an intersection in our lives, i.e. late Boomers and early Gen X (me) women who are now in our late 50s and up can see ourselves in this film. We've been married/coupled/in relationships and may have raised children and/or taken care of sick parents through their demise, or gone through a divorce or their partner runs off with an often younger woman (I've been through both) or they're a widow, etc. And now that we don't have to care for anyone else but ourselves... we have the time to evaluate and discover and rediscover and uncover and excavate and reinvent. I am exactly in this place in my life right now. And I sincerely and honestly don't want another marriage. I don't even want any sort of a relationship that has expectations. I want to be completely and utterly free... to do whatever I want when I want. To tend to my own self. Hopefully to travel and go on adventures with my daughter or dear friends or on my own, and do anything and everything that takes me out of my comfort zone and has the chance of bringing me joy and laughter and peace. I've never felt so very content and excited about my life as I do now. Can't wait to see this film (and perhaps accelerate my plan).

The unrealistic porn culture and the damaging hook up culture are both toxic to young men and young women’s perception on sex! And believe me women these days are still shy away from demanding their own pleasure even in a large part of western societies. Stephen is absolutely correct, this movie is unlike anything else I've seen! Both Emma and Daryl are phenomenal, and as someone who has carried a lot of shame about my body and sex in general, I'm so grateful this film was made.
