And if Ina had not been true to herself and followed her "gut" which directed her to The Barefoot Contessa none of us would have had the pleasure of decades worth of delicious recipes, cooking tips, elegant food presentations and making life a bit more enjoyable while sharing it with family and friends! Thanks for all you do, Ina! ❤

I thought Ms Kay was a bit rude to Ina during parts of her interview. When Ms Kay insisted on adding sparkling water to the drink Ina had made. Ms Kay went on to say, now that actually makes the drink better. Really !! However, Ina was excellent and cool and calm and went along with the flow. She is always a gracious host.

I clocked this as well. She wasn't a well behaved guest - coming in leading the way to the kichen & picking up items without asking. I was really annoyed, but Ina was gracious host.

I grew up watching all of her videos. There's this particular channel on our television here in the Philippines where her shows were airing. The way she picked some of her ingredients in her garden was very very therapeutic. I am 27 now and I still find her videos very therapeutic. She looks very happy with what she has been doing ever since. ❤

I’m not sure Ina……back in the early 1970 I was living in Bangkok……. And I was at a navy office that had a tennis court. I was watching a young couple play tennis ….after they finished the girl told me she was there visiting her boyfriend …who was stationed in Bangkok….and traveled alone…I thought how romantic and brave she was . She was stunningly beautiful and bright…quick to laugh and smile. It left quite an impression on me and I just always thought of that girl. I’m not sure I know if that was you or if you ever play tennis in Bangkok I was an American girl same age as you and it wasn’t until kitty showed a picture of you and Jeffrey that I remember that girl ……by chance did you ever play tennis in Bangkok . I can’t wait to read your new book memoirs of Ina …By the way, I have every one of your books …I watch every one of your shows I am one of your favorite fans and yes you taught me how to cook. Thank you, Ina.

The world 🌎 would be a much better place if we had more Inas. This was a great interview. I very much enjoyed it. Im so glad to have seen it. 🩷 Thank you.

isn't just what you do but what you don't do. Not just what you did but how you did it. Not just what you said but how you said it. Love is so simple yet the simple make it so hard. Love Is full of knowledge yet even the smart don't get it. Love doesn't cost a fortune yet fortunes are spent trying to gain it. Love does demand of you yet you are not willing to sacrifice for it. Those who only seek what love can give and do for them, do nothing for love and others and in such selfish pursuit, in turn rob themselves of love's best gift. Make this year the year you seek to sow love and not just reap it. Be love and not just think it. Do love and not just say it. Talk love and just don't fake it. Seek love and just don't chase it. Embrace it but don't enslave it, share it but don't dare boast in it. Enjoy it but don't abuse it. Free it and watch it come back. Invest in it and watch it pay back. Wash your life in it, light your darkness with it, eat your food with it conduct your business with it and above all else Serve God in it. I really did learn how to cook from watching Ina’s show and reading her cookbooks and I think my favorite tip was how lovely veggies taste when sprinkled with a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, then roasted. And my husband was delighted when I began watching her and trying out Ina’s recipes on him. Family and friends loved it too. You learn so much from Ina, like it’s not about an overdone tablescape, it’s about sitting closely together sharing what’s often essentially French peasant food. Thank you, Ina, you’re a gift to us all.✨

Such a heart warming story. I watched this amazing lady on the Food Network back in my college days. I always tuned in to see what her adventure was for the day and to get a glimpse of Jeffrey to see what she was slinging him for dinner😅. Such a sweet couple. I had no idea they both had such important positions in life. I understand chosing something more fun and so rewarding but equally stressful but in a different learning curve and artfully fulfilling as the Barefoot Contessa feels she is true to herself so awesome. You have not changed one bit since I watched long ago. Such a sweetheart!!! When Katty agreed the drink needed something and she suggested some bubbles...Ina was delighted and agreed to try it. Ina not only liked the taste but also commented that the color was also better. Ina is a master and that showed her humility. Another plus is that the interviewer even felt comfortable offering the suggestion

"How nice was that"? What a great interview. ""Persona" is what attracted me to Ina's shows from the very first episode. She was informative, she made it all look easy and simple, the ingredients list wasn't a mile long, she gave us options, her voice is extremely pleasing to listen to----she would make a great podcast!...wow , I could go on. Katty rocked this interview, too.

Learning from Ina, is like learning from a beloved talented friend... and the intimacy of the director's close-shots of her, like we're right there with her. She's simplified recipes with great results!! And she has a cute sense of humor. Jeffrey is such a love and they are an inspiration...

I love that Ina doesn't have any money and is looking around like Queen Elizabeth for someone to pay the peasant farmer.

Ina is just always so lovely, fresh, the meals are simple with a bit more, and the way they’re enjoyed is so wonderful and intimate and fun, the setting idyllic.

So fun. One of my favorite people. I am a little younger than her but I feel as if we grew up together. I love her cookbooks. I love that we saw her cookbook collection. So wonderful. A truly great American woman.

isn't just what you do but what you don't do. For whatever love is and is not, it's all of, for and From Him. He is LOVE! " By Steven Gooden

Man I really love Ina, I loved her show, and after this interview I really admire her courage to go with her gut. Having Jeffrey there believing in her was a huge boost to her courage I'm sure. I love that she's a rule breaker, go to Thailand, why not? Amazing! I love her soothing voice, and I miss seeing her regularly on Food Network. I wish we were pals.

That’s what my mom says. Any one can do what these professional cooks do if someone cleans up for you all the time. My mom cooks on Sunday for the whole family for the week and works a real job Monday to Friday and she cleans up as she goes.

I love Ina Garten, but all of her interviews are the same: left WH job, bought the store, sold the business, launched her empire. Rinse and repeat. I wish she would let interviewers ask different questions. I actually think this interviewer did a great job digging deeper.

Dear Ina: The watermelon lemonade was just perfect but it changed the flavor with the sparking water Personally I didn’t like it with the sparkling water. So I will stick to your 🍉 🍋 🍓and nothing else 😘 plus my girls and nieces love it as well. -the simple the better - You are such a lady Ina 🙏🏻. I didn’t like the fact this reporter made you add an extra ingredient to your creation, I think it’s rude to come to your home and tell you what to add (she’s not a Chef like you)

Huh! I always thought she married Jeffrey later in life and that he was older. But I did wonder how she managed to get into the White House right out of school. Because it doesn’t work that way. She is who she is but she has simply aged beautifully. Jeffrey doesn’t look old and worn out, he is very dapper. She is just ageless. They are both very lucky (from the outside looking in) though his fortune is not JUST because she ages well. There is much much more to a partnership than arm candy. Anyway, things make more sense now.
