When she said she misses her friends and it was hard to find true friends, it’s like the comradery solders feel when they’ve been to war together because under those circumstances the true person comes out . Hardships will strengthen a relationship or destroy it for sure . Bless her heart ❤️

Her saying she misses her friends and that she couldn't find true friends is heartbreaking. Living through something like that, you learn who you can't and can't trust and those who remain loyal to you are people you stick with for the rest of your life if you can. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for her to leave that behind.

It is so hard to wrap my head around my own country most times and to see the stark contrast between North and South Korean culture yet they both struggle to find freedom life has to offer is hard to wrap my head around and at the same time I am humbled immensely. We all have some sort of yearning for human freedom and at the same time due to whatever societal circumstances we conform to survive. My heart goes out to all those humans in any way they struggle to fulfill their hearts desire for freedom. I am sorry life is so convoluted when this beautiful world has been given to us all to enjoy for free yet humans makes it so complex and self serving.

I think that no one should treat them differently or you differently no matter where you are from. What would you do if you went through war and then were cut off from the rest of the world? What would you do if you had to leave your home your family's home generations of family in order to have freedom? How would you feel? If you were born into this type of society brainwashed not aloud to think or wonder about certain things read or watch things you wanted, were encouraged to tell on yourself and others which could mean life and death for some and everything you have is there you know very little about the world outside of yours and what you're told is terrible things. It comes down to is the fear and pain you know worth risking the unknown? You hope it's better but what if it's worse and you can't go back it would mean jail or death or torture or really you don't know. I'm sure there are people who are undercover or spies for and against North Korean but doesn't mean you treat everyone as such. Good luck and I hope the best for you and your families!

i... feel kinda bad for them... their freedom is just a fairytale until they escape the isolation called North Korea... what's worse? really difficult to leave the country. all kinds of entertainment can only be from that country, so you can't watch Spongebob or Phineas and Ferb in North Korea. even worse: there is no expression freedom. so, i hope this isolated prison changes to freedom. i hope all that suffering goes away for once. once again, i feel bad for the people in North Korea. i really, really do. - Charlie, NickyTV
