Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed a joint session of the UK Parliament shortly after making a surprise trip to the UK.
Hundreds of MPs and peers packed into Westminster Hall to hear him speak - he received a long and rapturous applause as he arrived.
It is Zelensky's first visit since Russia invaded his country last year and his second international trip since the war began.

The tax payers have never been told how many Ukrainian soldiers have died and how much of the equipment we have sent so far is still in one piece. I disagree. Matching force will prolong the war which will result in more casualties on both sides, plus negotiating will result in Ukraine losing some territory to Russia. Both bad outcomes. We should help Ukraine to soundly defeat Russia quickly. That will minimise casualties and allow Ukraine to keep their territory, plus (as Zelensky said in his speech) send a message to future aggressors that war to steal territory will not be tolerated. It is this 'we shouldn't escalate the war' idea that plays into Russia's hands. Why do you think Russia always threatens nukes? To get your response.

Russia are not going to humbly accept defeat. It's such a delicate situation, as if the west pushes Russia too much, they will respond more radically. The scariest thing is knowing Russia's last resort is nuclear weapons and if they begin to lose the war they may well get closer to, 'last resorts'.

I suspect defeating Russia isn't quite the monumental task you think it is given the problems with Russia's military, although of course not a trivial task either.
