@@sunrope77demons is a very doja song lmfao. the whole point of the song is poking fun at the idiots who are screaming satan this, she sold her soul, she’s demonic. it’s not meant to be serious or be filled with quality bars, nor is every rap song has to be serious with top tier lyrical content. let people have fun with their music.
@sunrope77 Жыл бұрын
@@headoverdiors yea I’m aware that the song is intended to just be fun and simple, I been a fan of her music since her soundcloud days. I never criticized the subject matter of the song. But the thing is, she has plenty of fun songs that also have creative and clever lyrics. The song feels empty rhythmically because the lyrics give nothing. But of course that’s just my opinion, music is subjective. Side note I’m not sure why you assumed that I meant the song was supposed to be serious…I never said that.

So many artists are obsessively focused on stats and chart placements. They burden their fans to care-take, to buy multiple copies, to stream repeatedly to get them to No 1 as if the rankings would make a material difference in our lives. Doja Cat is just a giver. She put her heart out in the music for us and we feel it. She delivers!

I truly hate it. Artist put out lack luster music trying to keep up with the trendy sounds for the number 1 spot. I also hate that they constantly comparing stats. Idk why the average listener cares about that. If I like a song I like it I could care less about all that Mumbo jumbo.

interviews isn't my usual watchlist... but i really do love how she is able to articulate her creative journey and the inspirations that go into her creative expression; it makes me believe that she is wholeheartedly involved in the making of her brand and art career as opposed to just being the face with other people really being the driving force behind the name (not that she doesn't have a team), but you can tell she is sure in the identity being put out there, which is why ironically it may appear she keeps on shifting identities because she's not attached to a brand image but rather an inner identity that she will experiment with brandishing it to the world.
