She picked Schiaparelli because she liked their work and wanted to create a unique concept with them. Tour outfits are gifted a lot of the times by designers and the artist can decide if they want to work with that designer and showcase their work, or not. The designers literally count on celebrities endorsing them and their work and are congratulated when someone important wears their design.

Whatever someone is mixed with, often throughout their life they get told that they aren’t “really” this or that. People will try to strip that person of one of their family lineages. Different people choose different sides of that. So she’s got a white jewish mom and south african black dad. So I’m sure she’s heard “you’re not black” “you’re not white”. Early some will try to fight or explain why they are. Eventually acceptance comes (for most at varying ages). They accept who they are. They know who they are. And you’ll see something like this, like her. She has the money and connections to make hers extreme but I totally get it. I’m probably old enough to be her mother and sometimes I still push back at petty and/or ignorant people in petty ways. My most current thing One of the men that works for my hubby HATES himself but takes it out on me. My hubby knows immediately when that man has said something that’s gotten back to me bc I do everything slightly off just to make his job so much harder. I’m in my 40’s, it’s childish BUT I’m grown and if someone wants to be petty and childish with me then I do it back and much better or worse... BUT only if it’s something I can fun with AND wont cause a problem for the company.
