He's always had the ability to disappear into his characters, (As in DBC)...and never succumbed to using his good looks for success. Personally, I think he should have been Oscar-nominated for his role in "Requiem For A Dream" Anyway, he was off my radar for some time, until I stumbled across an MTV Unplugged a couple of years ago.
