I agree, I wished they slowed it down a tad to make the chorus stand out more. You can hear her breathing so harshly on that mic. It takes away from the performance having to hear her try to keep up with the pianist when it should be the other way around.

It's a song about desire and longing for someone, not sad. This sort of ballad approach doesn't work as far as I'm concerned. The original composition has a certain tempo to it that suggest a sexual rhythm.

I don't think this is Dua's case though and some artists do hate their hits or most popular song since they have been promoting it for a long time, hearing on the radio, streets, supermarkets , everywhere... they get really tired of it and also don't want to be known simply because of that one song. Honestly, I don't blame them.

Lyrics/Paroles : Have you got colour in your cheeks? Do you ever get the fear that you can't shift the tide? That sticks around like something's in your teeth Are there some aces up your sleeve? Have you no idea that you're in deep? I've dreamt about you nearly every night this week How many secrets can you keep? Cause there's this tune I found that makes me think of you somehow And I play it on repeat Until I fall asleep Spilling drinks on my settee (Do i wanna know?) If this feeling flows both ways (Sad to see you go) I sorta hoped that you’d stay (Baby, we both know) That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can’t say tomorrow day Crawling back to you Ever thought of calling when you've had a few? Cause I always do Maybe I'm too busy being yours to fall for somebody new Now I've thought it through Crawling back to you So have you got the guts? Been wondering if you're heart's still open And if so I wanna know what time it shuts Simmer down and pucker up I'm sorry to interrupt It's just I'm constantly on the cusp Of trying to kiss you I don't know if you feel the same as I do We could be together if you wanted to (Do i wanna know?) If this feeling flows both ways (Sad to see you go) I sorta hoped that you’d stay (Baby, we both know) That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can’t say tomorrow day Crawling back to you Ever thought of calling when you've had a few?(1) Cause I always do Maybe I'm too busy being yours to fall for somebody new Now I've thought it through Crawling back to you (Do i wanna know?) If this feeling flows both ways (Sad to see you go) I sorta hoped that you’d stay (Baby, we both know) That the nights were mainly made for saying things that you can’t say tomorrow day (Do i wanna know?) Too busy being yours to fall (Sad to see you go) Ever thought of calling down (Do i wanna know?) Do you want me crawlin' back to you? Such a perfect rendition of an amazing song… it nearly brings me to tears… so much emotion… so subtle…!!! As a producer I wouldn’t change a thing about this…,People need art appreciation classes… listen or see what’s there… don’t try to tell artists what they should have done…

Am I the only one that when I listen to this cover it has breakup sadness song vibe in it. It is different from the original bcs it is so much sexier and sultry whereas this one has like kinda song u listen when u just broke up with ur bf and u want to get back but u couldnt. Both versions potrayed a different scene
@shreyasiupadhyay38995 жыл бұрын
so true...that original was quite badass which i love and this is quite a sultry emotional one.
@jonathanescobedo1925 жыл бұрын
sultry yes maybe, but sexier than alex turners version? cant get much sexier than his voice if im being completely honest

@@jonathanescobedo192 yes obviously nothing but Alex Turner could makes this song any sexier. But I like this one too bcs it shows the vulnerable side of this song, which sometimes get overlooked with the original one bcs of its rock upbeat music that drives us to sway with the music
