Matthew Olden I worked in a recording studio so it is a big deal. There are plenty of people that can sing better then her that aren't signed artists.. I really liked this song and I was just dissapointed on how she performed. Which was beyond awful. Like if someone came to the voice and covered and didn't get any turn arounds bad..so she is not good. Someone just spends hours in the studio in a program called melodyne and writes all her notes and phrases.

Looking at these comments I'm flabbergasted...I think she is a wonderful artist!! Her lyrics are great (she writes her own music) and she delivers her art in a sultry type way...she's not a pop singer who is all gimmick she is real talent!! Riffs and runs are not her thing therefore it certainly was not expected. As someone who has seen her live, I can tell you that she is purely amazing. Before I saw her in concert, I also saw these videos and wasn't expecting all that much from her. Let's be real, she doesn't sound that great in this performance. But when you're in the crowd and watching her it's a completely different experience. She has a way of bringing you into every song and you can see that she completely falls into them and feels it. And people should realize that some of these were her first live performances with her new material and she is clearly nervous. And like any skill, singing requires practice. And by the time I saw her on her Enter the Void tour, she really found her stride and sounded great.

Every single artist have some pitch changes in studio recorded versions of their songs just to make it sound perfect. Anyways studio recorded tracks always sound much sharper obviously. Like most of these artists have talent and CAN sing acoustic. Jhene Aiko, The Weeknd, Beyonce and so on.... Sometimes what sucks when they're singing live is they run out of breathe near the end of their performance and voice will sound less accurate. We should respect them for the hard work they put up to their career and arent afraid of showing it off live.

PITCH is one part of singing, an important part, but not the only part. If someone is massively off pitch then, admittedly, they sound like a poor singer. Pitch is a key component to singing, it's not the only thing that makes a good singer. Although she was flat in places, she was for the most part on pitch in this performance. She has a great tone/texture to her voice, and is able to slide through scales and vibrato effortlessly. She's not mariah or whitney but she CAN sing; too many of you hear one flat note and decide she can't sing altogether. she's probably better than 99.9% of people reading this comment, so why you criticizing? when did every-one turn into Simon Cowell? think about it.....
