Morten is the man of my dream. He was and he still. And Mags and Pal still very lovely too. I like all the songs of a- ha and Morten solo, he still got and incredible voice, I'm sure that he come from another planet, he is an Angel in a man form.

ThisJo Whiley interview is a much better standard than the usual inane interviews they are expected to endure. At least she didn’t ask Morten about how he coped with being so handsome as I’ve seen other interviewers ask! I wonder what Pal and Magne think when that sort of thing is asked instead of about their music.

Paris Hoffmann For instance one by Richard Madeley & Judy Finnegan on their Richard & Judy show on Channel 4 around 2000 or thereabouts...but it wasn’t the only one, there are plenty of examples if you look for them. In the early days they were always being asked about their Scandinavian good looks and wonderful cheekbones, especially Morten. They are still asked about their looks today, but now it’s asking how they are ageing so well...Mags usually replies “it’s because we live in a fridge...called Norway!”

@@marjoriemcbride6557 thank you for your nice post. I am so shocked how sexual reduced many fans and interviewer are talking about and with them. Yes they are all 3 good looking, but I think that's really a very cheap and shallow way to see them. Their mind is so deep, sharp and clear and they really wanna have a positiv impact on this world, but the most of us can't hear, feel or see it. Their music, vocals and especially Mortens voice are so distinctiv and unique. Sometimes I feel so sorry for them that the world can't see their real talent and vision.

Since the album: “East of the Sun, West of the Moon” came out in 1990, a-ha wanted to be recognized as people, like real people, not only as the “boy band”. Fans didn’t like that album. For me, it’s the best. They have tried so hard to erase from fans that vision of only being: “the cute norwegian boys from the synthpop era”. Mags said that they wanted to be recognized as musicians. Not only because of how they look. Of course they are so handsome. But not only that counts. There are more beyond.
Oh yes!!! I would love a gig with all the 'non hits', for want of a better term.

I think the question was confusing. He even asked the presenter "I'll go forward", but later with Magne she talks about past tense...lol Morten is a philosophical being and for those who don't know philosophy, he misinterprets it. He loves philosophy and puts it into practice...lol that's why he doesn't want to revisit the past or make future projections. He lives in the now. He's a fan of Soren Kierkegaard...lol

@@rebeccajelenawang4306 Wow! Very cool your interaction! I read Morten's biography (My Take on Me) and there's a chapter about his love for philosophy and when you know the philosophical currents he adopts, everything he says in interviews makes sense... lol But for those who don't knows philosophy (especially existentialist philosophy), Morten seems confused and sometimes arrogant...lol but he's not. He really puts into practice what he believes and I admire him for it as he is constantly misunderstood because of it... This kind of question about reliving the past or making projections into the future doesn't work with him because he doesn't think in those terms. Simple as that...lol About Janteloven, I agree with you and a-ha suffered a lot at the beginning of their career with this kind of collective behavior (even unconsciously), but thank God they won and are a "Made in Norway" product, of great quality and of the which Norwegians can be proud of! lol

Thomas McBride Hello to my namesake, I can’t see what you see here. I think they all get on pretty well considering most groups have fallen apart or have members leave and new ones join in the space of the thirty plus years A-ha have been together. They go off and do their own thing and then come back together to perform again. This seems to work for them and it certainly is successful as they’ve just embarked on their Electric Summer tour which has been playing gigs in the U.K. over the last two weeks and will be moving on to other countries. I hope to keep enjoying them for many years. Incidentally, my grandson is called Thomas McBride but we call him Tom!
