Wow, really brings to light the mental struggle one might go through despite however much money they may earn.

Got to respect the guy for that. Really felt for him then. He was teetering on the brink with his mental health and one fortunate chain of events brought him back and gave him another few years. Crazy.

Savage gets a lot of stick but I personally love him. He's done incredible as a player with the ability he had and he's gone a lot further in the media post football than so called world class players. He's a good bloke.

I didn't like the way he left blues, but the years we had him he was different class he would run everywhere and close people down and put players under pressure, he actually won player of the year I think and beat dugarry to it which is saying something on how he played for us that season. KRO

monkeymagic436 They work every day. Diet, fitness, sleep, training, videos of themselves and opposition, coaching etc. And some earn 10-20x that now. I'd a friend who played premier league and international. He wasn't allowed to drink, smoke or be out late in nightclubs. But he did all this things, so it hobbled his career.

@@Google_Does_Evil_Now haha Look i know its a 'lifestyle' but that doesnt change my comment. 24k a week for properly two full days of training. Savage wouldn't have gone home n watched the opposition all day every day probably did an hour or 2 in the gym tops
@Google_Does_Evil_Now6 жыл бұрын
monkeymagic436 I doubt it. Physio time, dietician chat, analysis, practicing set pieces, defensive-attack transition, learning group tactics, etc etc. How do you think a defensive backline can keep itself in order if they don't practice? Do you think a midfield-forward attack can be fantastic if they don't practice regularly so they know each other's responses very well? If you want to win and be the best then I would expect it's most days of the weeks, early to bed, lie alcohol, good food etc etc. I heard that Fergie when he came from Aberdeen changed manutd from a fry up in the morning to sardines on toast.
