My absolute soulmate best friend since childhood died when we were 25 in a tragic car accident and to say I was absolutely traumatized by the loss is an understatement- BUT the night she died, I was just crying and crying and couldn’t get to sleep and I was laying in bed trying to sleep and I felt an impression of someone sit on the side of the bed next to me and PHYSICALLY felt a hand push my hair behind my ear in like a comforting way, and my girlfriend at the time was with me and I asked her why she did that and she was asleep had no clue what I was talking about. I knew it was my best friend being there to comfort me and to this day I can still feel her hand putting my hair behind my ear. I was able to sleep after that. I miss her so much. But she’s never left me, not really. 🖤

I couldn't help but relate to the "find friends" struggle. It's so hard to put myself out there, only to feel like my attempts at genuine connection go unreciprocated. I pour my heart into finding my people, my tribe, but often end up feeling like I'm shouting into the void. The isolation can be crushing. I hope my tribe is out there somewhere, those kindred spirits who will truly see and accept me. I'll keep searching, keep trying, because the thought of finding that sense of belonging is what keeps me going.

Listening to Billie talk about how she didn’t have friends really touched me. To be, quite possibly, the most famous woman alive, with millions of fans, yet so lonely must have been horrendous. Bless her, I’d be her friend, not for any personal gain but to just be able to give her a hug when she needed one. Young people growing up today, with social media that makes the world so loud, really do struggle with isolation more than my day. To hear all those voices but not have them as a part of your life, must be so difficult. I’m glad Billie has a little crew now, the isolation could have very easily destroyed her and she’s far too precious for that to have happened.
