This is a phenomenal pairing. There's something about Kai... he's clearly a strong teacher. He dances in a way that fully supports her all the time. He never out shines her, and she rises to the occasion to match his energy. You can feel their combined energy like they are on a train track. Very powerful team!

Yes. She rises up to his standard so incredibly well for a dance this early in the competition. Wasn't this one the first they danced together? Blows me away. And Kai's first series looks like it's going to be a strong one, if the jive is anything to go by. He's a lovely dancer himself, and he's taught AJ well. They both look like they're having a ball out there.

Same. I'm team Rose too but I was really looking forward to AJ's showdance. I am now going to imagine that her couple's choice was her showdance because that dance looked like it could have been a showdance in terms of the complexity and the different dance styles used. Also, because Kai said that their showdance was very "Beyoncé" and that dance really reminds me of Tina Turner or Beyoncé.

Just WOW. I love her as a presenter and her energy is always infectious to see and she's stunning. But this performance was incredible! It's clear she was always going to bring the energy to any of the dances, but she is also so brilliant at picking up the steps and the posture of the dance. The jive is very forward and she was on point throughout. She looked like a professional from start to finish, the way she ruffled her hair and engaged with the camera. AJ to WIN !!!!!

Last week AJ wasn't on my list of ones to watch, today she's at the top of it. I can't believe she nailed a JIVE on week 1, Kai is incredible and this partnership has me VERY hyped.
