Gorgeous footwork, lovely frame, pure and proper content without fluffing about, choreographic simplicity that was executed outstandingly ! It was a masterclass regarding how the feet should move and work in the waltz! If only Rhys would have created sway - for me, it would have been a perfect performance. Great musicality, excellent spins, lovely partnership between him and Nancy, super clean lines, magnificent gliding across the dancefloor (the best one this series), so skillful transfer of weight from foot to foot, he had rise and fall, he closed his feet where he should have done that... I have nothing to add. It was so technically fantastic, and unexpected, it was like the night and day comparing to his previous ballroom (and latin) dances - he took all the judge's comments on board (and mine as well) and performed, technically, one of the best waltzes EVER! My score: with great satisfaction - a 9!

Oh yes!! Ballroom Rhys is back!! Long have I awaited for his ballroom to be as great as his first dance, and here it!! What a gorgeous Waltz! He's so graceful and charming. A really nice quality Waltz! He's really improved. I love this boy, and his dancing has come far. He has come back from the dance off fighting. Ignore Craig, Rhys. You've done lovely. Watching this made me feel a bit emotional. First, because I love this song. Secondly, the waltz was always one of my favourite dances when I was learning to dance when I was a kid. One day when I went home after one of my lessons my mum said she could no longer afford for me to go. To this day I regret not going back once I started work and could afford to pay for the lessons myself

It brought a tear to my eye too because a couple of years ago at Christmas I took my daughter and her friend Ellie to the Christmas lights and we went Christmas shopping together. It was such a lovely day, and we had photos next to the tree, and were great friends until fah fell out because we didn't sweep the floor in Skegness. It's such a shame 😥

Was Rhys the leading man or what?!! I wouldn’t call this graceful, per se, but I would call it gentle, empathic, filled w/romance; it told a story of love so great it hurts. Once again, the vocalist and music arrangement enhanced the performance. I came close to tears. I don’t know why it didn’t score a 40(?).

Score: *9* This is the best that I have seen Rhys's ballroom frame. I know he has been doubting his self lately (I watched ITT) and he did a grand job. Now, there were some slight issues with transitioning in the chasses but the pivots the follow was miraculous. In addition, the butt could be in just a tad, but other than that I enjoyed this routine 1000%. I would even say this is my best ballroom from them so GREAT JOB!!!

100%. I really don’t mind who wins out of AJ, John, Rhys or Rose. And I wouldn’t be super opposed to Tilly winning it (I would be shocked sure but not angry). However if Dan out survives anyone else or even worse makes it to the final (or still worse wins) I will not be happy. If we’re going by average dance scores (which you can see on Wikipedia) the final should be AJ, John and either Rhys or Rose (all 4 are within 1 1/2 points of each other in terms of average scores, with John at the top and Rose 4th). Tilly herself is only the distance between John and Rose behind Rose. And then Dan’s almost 3x that distance (4.4 points) behind Tilly. Sorry for going off on quiet the tangent; when I get frustrated/passionate about something I try to back my view point up with facts and figures.

@@jessicamarshall1975 I was really sad that Tilly had to go before Dan, but so glad that we got to see Rhys' Argentine Tango last week (even though I still would have preferred to have seen Tilly & Nikita's quarter final dance to Dan's!) but at least it wasn't a situation where AJ was in the dance off with Tilly or Rhys last week, and Dan, quite rightly went. I've been voting for AJ, John and Rose since week 1 but have voted for Tilly and Rhys along the way too. It's a shame that the semi-finalists aren't the finalists this year as they all deserve to be there. Going to be a very tense dance off this weekend! But really hope all 3 of my favourites make it to the final.

9 I had a feeling people were doubting Rhys too much. He can do slower dances properly, it's just that he's often been given high-energy dances. This had so much feeling and poise, lovely rise and fall and almost immaculate footwork aswell. The only distraction for me was his shoulders; I wouldn't say they were raised but they seemed to restrict him, he could've been slightly more to Nancy's side in order to look more relaxed and to be even smoother. This was by far his best ballroom dance though and I'm glad he got a 10. He's way too unpopular.

This was really lovely, the whole atmosphere was gorgeous. I don't know what the hell Craig was talking about, that was some really harsh criticism, the only part I agreed on was that he could've been a stronger lead. That level of refinement from Rhys was amazing to see. (Was also a little distracted by the beautiful tree).

I also noticed that they kept body contact the entire way through, I think it's probably his best in hold performance to date and he has really worked hard to contain his steps so I was quite pleased with the performance. It was an acceptable week 10 performance :3

Rhys is very talented and, given more time, he could be among the leaders. It seems to me that he needs to re-learn, to get rid of his dancing baggage and learn to move differently. Un-remembering the way he used to dance and then learning new moves takes time.

Footwork wise, this was pretty spot on. Frame is much improved (although his right elbow did get a little behind him towards the end) but he needs to makes sure he keeps his bum tucked under. Next step would to be add swing and sway but still a very solid waltz. 8
