I'm supporting Pete Wicks. Just because he's got loads of tattoos and long hair, doesn't make him a bad person....he gives so much of his time to helping animal charities....be it raising money or actually going out on the streets to help the homeless people who have dogs, and can't get homes without giving up their best friends....which they won't do, and good for them, but with winter coming up, spare them a thought and know that Pete is doing his bit. I love him for that.

@@Al-vs6jd People are very quick to judge by appearance and Pete doesn't blow his own trumpet, perhaps he should. Anyway, thank you for reading my comment and now seeing him in a different light. There's a small 2 vans, organisation called DOTS (Dogs on the Streets) and they drive around London and general areas and check on the homeless with dogs. Give OTC meds if needed and make sure that the dog has enough food and try to find animal friendly shelters for them. Feel free to share this info on SM because I don't do any of it as I'm old and not into it. :) 🙋‍♀️

Yeah, agreed. I thought it was especially odd, as the celeb that Aljaz got partnered with, could've easily been partnered with Kai. And love Neil as well, but he's only really used as back-up, it would be nice to see what more Carlos has got up his sleeve. The only reason I can think, is that they have bought two long standing and well loved male pros back in for this series, to counteract the bad that has led up to it. (Not that I overly followed any of that tbh.)

On the launch show I always like to have a little bet with myself on who I think will make the final four. Even though it's early days and, as we know, anything could happen between now and the final! So my predicated final four are (in no particular order): Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward, Tasha Gouri, and JB Gill. Out of the others, the one I am most looking forward to watching is Chris McCausland. To imagine how challenging this is going to be for him, just close your eyes and do a couple of spins and note how you feel. I'm keen to see what routines Diane will create.

My thoughts (part 1/2) At first I wasn’t entirely convinced by the cast, but this launch show is the best I think I’ve seen in years, brilliant night. 1. Tom & Nadiya He didn’t stand out in this routine, and he might struggle because of his height. I’m expecting a similar result to Adam Peaty- maybe halloween elimination. 2. JB & Amy So happy for Amy, she looks amazing! I have high hopes for JB, he comes across really happy and lots of energy. He should be good at dancing but I have a feeling, like Aston, he could be this year’s surprise elimination, hopefully I’m wrong though. 3. Dr. Punam & Gorka I love her! And she looked good in this, she clearly enjoyed it and that’s obviously a good sign. I hope she surprises me because I initially had her down for an early exit, but her likability could win voters over. 4. Chris & Dianne This was a brilliant pairing choice, they’re so funny together. He will definitely be popular with voters, if he can build on his slightly lacklustre performance here, I think he will last a while. 5. Wynne & Katya This was one of the most surprising pairings! I like them together, and I think Katya being the genius choreographer that she is could bring some memorable performances. I do worry about a samba next week for him, but he’ll give it a go! 6. Toyah & Neil She had the energy of a 6 year old, she was amazing! Lots of personality and enthusiasm. Also happy for Neil, he’s been on the bench too much. 7. Pete & Jowita He looked okay in this dance, definitely room for improvement though. Hopefully Jowita can pull the same magic that Lauren did with Krishnan last year, because I wouldn’t write him off as an early exit.

So my hopes haven't been as high as other years but some good ones here, Sarah was a massive suprise she looks so good she's so elegant and clean, Vito's always in it to win, Montell looks really fire too lots of potential. Tasha has great energy and flexibility. Punam looked quite comfortable, JB has great potential aswell (can't wait to see Amy back ❤️❤️) ones that didn't look as good were Chris, Paul and Nick but hope they can improve with time. Sam and Toyah sitting in the middle of the road. Looking forward to seeing next week 🎉

I've got a bit of a feeling that Paul might go first, because doing an american smooth to a song like vindaloo sounds like a recipe for disaster, as that sounds like a terrible song choice for the dance, and I remember Jasob Bell from 2020 doing a Paso to Star Was theme, and he went home because of that, and although Paul does get one more chance, in which case he could go down the path of Tony Adams, but he could easily go first.

Wynne & Chris are much more charismatic plus Wynne has Katya who’s a genius choreographer and will make sure their choreography is interesting and Dianne’s super popular. My thoughts (part 2/2) 8. Tasha & Aljaz Definitely one of my favourites, she’s lovely and seemed so at ease in this routine. Delighted to see Aljaz back too! Great partnership and I’m excited to see them light up the floor. 9. Paul & Karen Oh dear. He looked like he had fun I guess? There’s a lot to work on- musicality, coordination and footwork in particular. I can see him developing like Tony did though. 10. Montell & Johannes When the cast was first announced I didn’t think twice about her. But holy moly she DESTROYED that choreography (in a good way). I’m getting flashbacks of Fleur with all that energy, she might need to refine it slightly but she’s got potential, this is a powerful pairing. 11. Nick & Luba I didn’t get good vibes from them during the interview, hopefully he’ll grow on me. Like Paul, lots of areas to work on. 12. Shayne & Nancy That segment at the beginning was a statement! He’ll be around for a while, I can see him being a good student, eager to learn, honestly I think semi-finalist or maybe even finalist. 13. Sarah & Vito I did not see this partnership coming, but now I’ve realised this is what I need in my life. These 2 are probably my early favourites, she looked so comfortable and was so fun to watch tonight. Can Vito get 2 wins in a row? 14. Sam & Nikita I really wish her the best, she seems very likeable and I love Nikita. But this is definitely out of her comfort zone, she didn’t look good in this. I’m kind of worried about latin dances, she will definitely need to be more grounded and work on her confidence. If she can do that, I can see her going on the best safari (as thats our new J word according to Claudia). 15. Jamie & Michelle I’m thrilled for Michelle and curious to see what she’ll bring to the table. We know Jamie can dance well as he did a brilliant dance in the christmas special last year.

I was pleasantly surprised with this group of celebrities. Looking at this group dance it’s clear that they knew their partners way before the launch show and the videos were filmed some time ago, this gave the designated pairs a chance to train and dance together on the launch. It won’t be long before the honeymoon period is over and the media starts sniping at Strictly. It’s very clear that this is an exceptionally competitive group of celebrities who really want to be on the show so l am not looking forward to the eliminations. My favourite couples are Chris and Diane, JB and Amy and Wynne and Katya.
