I can't tell you how happy I am Chris one. As a blind person I am often tarnished by association with all the negativity that surrounds disability but Chris has done something absolutely incredible, and has done it all while being completely true to himself. He's a shining example of what you can achieve against the odds and his winning Strictly will do an untold amount in raising awareness of the fact that us as blind people still have goals, dreams, capabilities and the ability to achieve anything we set our minds to. Dianne was clearly an incredible teacher and has inspired me to seriously look into learning to dance, not necessarily for the dance itself but as a means of learning visual expression. I just need to find a teacher as good as Dianne!

So pleased to see Dianne and Chris lift the glitter ball. Truly deserving winners. She took teaching of the dances to a new level and brought the best out of Chris. HE may not have been the most perfect dancer in the competition, but he was fearless and proved that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. I’ve followed Dianne’s strictly journey from the start, always wanting her to win, and feeling gutted when she’s been so close.
