I have walked through Horden several times. All I can say is that there are rows and rows of beautifully kept single storey 100+ year old terraced houses with gardens and yards, both here and at nearby Blackhall Colliery. I have to admit I've avoided the notorious "numbered streets", but I've walked along the streets at either end of them. So, from the point of view of this outsider on foot during the daytime, there's not just one Horden, and the story of the "numbered streets" is not the whole story. Also Horden has a brand new railway station for itself and Peterlee, the 1960s new town which joins onto it (which is also mostly fairly well kept up). During the main part of the day there are hourly services to Sunderland/Newcastle/Metrocentre/Hexham and to Hartlepool/Stockton/Middlesbrough.

J 1 and the Tories just keep making it worse, taxing the poor so they can keep their 3 houses and their expensive lives. Forcing struggling disabled and single people into squalor with withholding universal credit, making them starve or kill themselves. Fobbing off anyone disabled, single and poor instead of helping them. Pulling millions away from our police force leaving us with resources stretched so unbelievably thin. I live in Durham, and I can tell you that this once beautiful place has a LOT of places like Horden. And if like me, you are lucky to live in a slightly better part of Durham, the distinction isn’t too great. There’s still smashed windows every now and again, and plenty of rubbish. But it’s a tad better. Durham itself is beautiful, the people are often very nice and the history is undoubtedly interesting. County Durham and Darlington is a victim of the system. It’s so sad to see but it’s true. The New Riverwalk area in Durham is a great start, but more needs to be done for this place.

When I was 21 my crazy ex girlfriend took a knife and attempted to remove a splinter from my young daughters hand.. My daughter was screaming as my ex girlfriend pinned her to the floor, I told my ex to get off her as she was screaming in fear. She didn't listen so I pulled my ex off my daughter. Then my ex got so mad she rang the police on me, the police attended and took me to the station. I told the police I was protecting my child from my troubled girlfriend who has issues of her own but I'll not get into that. The police sat me down and interviewed me about it. They asked me what had happened, so I told them. The police then told me that even shouting at someone was classed as 'assault' so the fact I said I pulled her off my child was assault. They then showed me a photo of my daughters broken table that had been broken for months, they then told me that my ex said I beat her up and damaged the table that day!!! I asked the police to do I lie detector test because all these alligations were false, they said with a very condescending attitude "this isn't Jeremy Kyle" They gave me a caution and it effected me getting new jobs, since then I've always carried a very strong hate for the police.

Yes if working class people worshiped the upper classes in the same way as a couple hundred years ago then things would be OK. Britain was the world superpower back then and that was a big part of the reason why. Each upper class aristocrat should be assigned 10,000 working class slaves to do with as he pleases (including sexually), that would sort this country out almost overnight. Rees-Mogg is so clever and witty, he's literally a superior being to the average working class person and should be given the power of life and death over at least 10,000, if not all, of the ungrateful ne'er-do-wells.
