Andy Hardisty I think they’re better, at least compared to season 1 and 2. It’s a new style of story which really suits the Torchwood universe. And the monthly range is really good too.

My only experience of Torchwood was children of Earth, so when I went back to S1 and found it has some bizarre obsession with sex throughout the first 6 or so episodes I very quickly lost interest. What was with shows in the early 2000s that made them obsessed with sex, Star Trek Enterprise had that crap too (but nowhere near as much as Torchwood).

Yes there were some wierd episodes in the first Season especially the 2 and the Cyber woman one , but they are some really good ones, you should give it another shot. (But I don't think They are as dark as children of earth (maybe small worlds) if that's what your looking for) To be honest, the Sex Theme in Enterprise annoyed me a a lot more than in Torchwood (because in Torchwood we expect it already, because of Jack) Also I am pretty sure Enterprise had the same amount if not more S*x stuff, half the 3rd season were just T'pol and Trip

@@annam3243 It's not a matter of Dark, I just want a good story. The difference with ENT's obsession was it was usually very clear "Oh, this is a creepy segment, I can just skip it" and because there was zero story in those bits it didn't hurt to watch it like that (I still rate ENT very highly), but with Torchwood it happens in normal scenes or even is the focus of the story. To be clear it's not just the weird stuff that threw me off, so far the show has made a strong case to hate the "Heroes", Owen's a creep, Ianto's just weird and awkward, Jack's went from flirt to perv and I can't even remember the girl's name... Suzie? Not Gwen, she's alright, but 1/5 is terrible odds.
