This was too close to my heart, made me cry tears of joy for the brothers but also tears of grief for my late maternal grandmother , her parents and brothers were cloth merchants in Bombay from Kabul during partition. My maternal grandmother and her younger sister managed to safely cross the border with my late grandfather but her parents and ten brothers remained behind. They believed they will be safe as they had good relationships with locals. She died in her 90’s , my uncles tried every avenue to trace her family but nothing. She died not knowing what happened to her family , towards the end she lost her mind and this video really brought her pain and longing to surface. I’m so happy for these brothers but so sad for my late grandmother. The suffering of people on both sides is unforgivable, those that caused it were evil. I hope one day birders will be open so that both sides can travel freely, after all , we are the same whether we live on this side or the other.

I have grown up with the community who migrated from India to Pakistan. I have seen some old women's and men's were not mentally stable. I was thinking about them that time, what happened with them. Now I came to know, they lost their loved one, been killed infront of them, tortuchered, spilt the family. Lost their property, business etc.
