Funny how in 2013 "old porsches where a lot cheaper than new 911 GT3s"..
@PrimaryIgnition2 ай бұрын
agreed. unfortunately our dream got 10x more expensive.

They hadn't gotten a chance to wire them up yet. I actually like it: "No officer, as you can see my gauges are not working, so I have no idea how fast I was going"

the engine noise sounds makes life worth living. when i grow up i want to own and drive a Porsche

It's called 80's theme song music, and it fits perfectly.

I like how you guys went with the 80's esque sound in the background. Good show!

lol meanwhile your picture is a red 911 :)

anon1561 Nah but one can dream. Ive had 944 turbos and 914 6 before they were worth anything.
@123vaw1237 жыл бұрын
mzondi1970 same, my first car was a '85 944T. wasn't expensive a few years ago- especially when it was running but was down on compression. Re surfaced head, and new head gasket; ran like factory. only has 35k original miles, was going to be 5.3 swapped with a Renegade kit. I regret selling that car almost daily.
@benjamingazdik11 жыл бұрын
I love watching the owners of these cars talk about the cars. You can really tell how much they love the car by how wide they smile.
@JonathanDavenport111 жыл бұрын
That tuned flat-6 was a pure engineering symphony. A true driver who loves hard driving and an awesome power-to-weight ratio coupled with second to none car control/design of the 911 platform can appreciate this car. It's not for everyone.
@pokiou10 жыл бұрын
I cant believe how idiotic some of the comments and people are on here. 99% of you are just jealous basement trolls. The guy is doing a review for you to watch. I cant see how calling him fat and change your glasses has anything to do with the video. The music fits very well especially after the 2 minute mark. How's this for an idea: go out and make a better video... it takes balls to do this stuff. Love the reviews. Keep it up.

Congrats Joey on doing something with so much restraint and taste on the outside (eg the 935 style rims!) but so much passion on the inside. Thanks Matt (and team) for showing us this great car.

Matt you should sell your C5 and get one of these.

Anyone dumb enough to be into American piles of scrap (especially GM or god forsaken Corvettes which are some of the biggest pieces of shit ever made) certainly ain't gonna be into Porsches. Just like you wont find kids on the short bus reading a book on physics.. and they shouldn't either.. just let them stick to their crayons and coloring books. Enjoy your leaf springs. Oxygen wasters.
@Buttnut10510 жыл бұрын
Nue Gai I prefer the 911 to the Corvette as well, obviously, but I don't know how anyone can knock it like you just did. It's a hugely successful platform in racing, it's very reliable, it's inexpensive yet while offering performance that rivals cars that are twice, maybe even three times as expensive, and it's surprisingly efficient as well. And by the way, Matt owns an Aston Martin Vanquish as well.
@Schallrausch10 жыл бұрын
Nue Gai iam from germany.. and i wouldnt say that us cars, espacially the c5 is crap... they are very reliable and some cheaper than other supercars. c5 has good suspension. vette would be my first choice at us cars supersports.

One of my favorite episodes, not necessarily because of the car (although it is a beautifully constructed, piece of art) but the use of the music to differentiate this video from the others since this car's nature IS that of the 80's. Matt, having done his homework, clearly conveys what he feels while behind the wheel as well the difference between the original and this tuned model. Great work guys!

Great car, ugly wheels.
@AE86ofMtAkina9 жыл бұрын
***** What do you mean? The wheels are awesome and period correct.
@taddiemer62529 жыл бұрын
The AE86 of Mt. Akina Well, they're INSPIRED by the wheels from a 935 race car, but that's not really the same thing as "period correct." Period-correct would be an actual set of OZ wheels from a 935, since that's what someone might have done at that time... I'd like them better if they were an inch or two smaller in diameter. That 80's look is pretty cool and does suit the car, but I think it throws off the effect when you go that big.
@himynameistaylor6 жыл бұрын
really? I love those wheels

I really like this new direction for tuned. It's almost like you guys are doing themed seasons. Season 1 was all about looking for the best finished cars, season two was all about power, and three could be all about driving enjoyment/ purity. These are all perfectly valid ways to think about what tuning is, and if that's what you're doing now, it's completely awesome. Keep up the good work.

@josephcunetta714311 жыл бұрын
Great video, and great concept car. Having owned several porsches and now a 996 997 aficionado and can still relate to the raw sound and feel of the earlier 911s with less weight and more power than provided by the manufacturer. A purposeful car with the driver in mind. Thanks

i got that vibe from the 997 BBi video, how Joey was saying they usually interview new customers to find out the goals of the build.... i like them, they're not cookie cutters, which is fine, but they just take it to another level with how unique their work is
