Hello There Friends,
This recipe was created with BBQ in mind. If you made his BBQ sauce you'll understand why. Without lighting up the grill you can still be in the spirit of the outdoors and enjoy deliciously tender Beef short ribs. Big Mise-En-Place but worth every effort! Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Since I started watching Chef Jean-Pierre my life has changed completely. Preparation is now called mise en place. Onion is now called onyo. Food in the freezer now lasts 17 years. And all my meals include butter or clarified butter. Also my meals are 100x more delicious than before, and cooking is the highlight of my day. Thank you chef JP!

Same here! It’s the little tips and tricks like how to incorporate flour in a soup. I like how all of the flavors of these dishes are natural instead of using heavy seasonings. I do have a lot more alcohol in my kitchen now lol but it’s just for cooking.

This isn't just the best cooking program on KZbin, it's the best channel period. I haven't enjoyed watching a chef cook since the late great Keith Floyd. No clinical precise measurements, nothing too serious, the fact that mistakes are made and not edited out, definitely no calorie counting, brilliant humour, and most of all having fun in the kitchen and the passion for cooking. I have been cooking for about 25 years and I'm quite good, not brilliant, but okay. I must have 50 cooking books and I'm susbsribed to maybe 30 channels. Over the years the one book that taught me the most was Delia Smith's complete cookery course, it's like a cooking bible. But now, this channel has already taught me so much and I've not been here long, it's fantastic. Thank you chef Jean Pierre for taking so much time to share your brilliant knowledge x

I made this recipe today, with the short ribs and polenta. I served it along side of freshly picked green beans, onions, garlic and peppers from my garden. My husband was skeptical at first saying “just because a chef said it’s good doesn’t mean it’s good” and after I served this amazing meal, my husband oohed and aahed through it, pausing to exclaim every few seconds about how amazing this meal is, and how flavorful it is without being heavy. He said it’s the best meal he’s ever eaten, and I agree. Thank you Chef, and your recipes and personality make for very special dishes. Thank you for sharing this dish with me. My love and passion is cooking, and this recipe is the best I’ve ever made. The polenta was superb soft and baked in a cake. The sauce was perfect. The meat tender. I am in heaven. Thank you, I look forward to trying many more of your recipes. This is the first time I’ve ever learned to cook from a chef and not a cook, and it shows! ❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗

The world of cooking, good cooking, has been at a terrible loss since the passing of both Julia Child and her TV shows. M Jean-Pierre, you have just mysteriously appeared on my monitor this week, and you are truly a worthy successor! If only for your fearlessly obscene use of butter. I think Julia would have been very proud. In just 2 days, I've learned two uses for a strainer (which I do not own!). Adding flour directly to a cooking sauce to thicken it, and smoothing out a vegetable puree for a final sauce. What will I possibly learn tomorrow? Thank you sir! I can't stand meat loaf, I'll be preparing yours later this week. Using the mixer attachment you forced me to buy three days ago.!

Of course it took me longer to prep and cook then it took him, but I dont do this for a living either. I say all that to encourage others to not be afraid to give it a try. Watching your videos and learning about the process takes me back to my childhood watching the real cooking shows of the mid 80’s and early 90’s when you would actually learn something about cooking. Thanks for everything chef. I’m making this on Sunday now… can’t wait

Those ribs look like pudding. I am salivating. I really got to make that stock! I highly recommend people try the recipes before they critique. Otherwise you are critiquing your imagination AKA Your brain.

I made this on the weekend, I sent down the sauce and ribs to my daughter, she said the soup was delicious and she was going to have the ribs the next day😁😁😁 we laughed so much when I told her it was sauce for the ribs not soup. She loved it all the same. Thank you so much for your lovely recipes 🥰🥰

I've never prepared beef short ribs and most recently have been looking at different YT channels preparing them. You've created a piece of art and not just a recipe. I'm inspired to try it and will certainly incorporate your techniques. Beautiful!

So, last year around Thanksgiving I looked for a video on how to cut up a Turkey and I came across your channel. I have been watching every episode you have and now I wait till Thursday's for your new videos! You have taught me so much about your technique and now I add this into my everyday cooking! Thank you for sharing your passion for this art!
