You said it right: 'Woos-stir-sheer' sauce. That's how us Brits say it. Btw loving the Pit dress code.
@analysethis16668 ай бұрын
Depends where you come from in Britland. We actually pronounce it 'Wuster-sher' sauce. There is no shire or sheer about it :)

Agreed. Pit boss' voice does the same thing to me that Bob Ross the painter's voice does - I get mesmerized. And great recipes to boot. BTW I made this recipe. It is delicious. And there are all kinds of variations out there.

My dad once made Brunswick Stew from a large catfish head he caught...32lbs, 36in long, one he transplanted from Lake Okeechobee. From Clewiston, Fl. to Irwin Co., Ga. I'm guessing, but the catfish was about 15yrs old or more. (search Irwin Co., Ga early 70s was in our local newspaper.)..I was 13yrs when he caught it. It had others, some smaller and some larger...it was fun feeding them. Anyway, Brunswick stew has so many variations and I admire your take on it. This stew looks very delicious.

That cast iron pot must weigh in the neighborhood of 30 lbs! I have two cast iron skillets, 10 and 12 inch diameter. The 10 inch is my workhorse. The 12 inch I use for reheating and warming. Each is over 5 lbs! A stewpot that size is difficult to lift!:)

Having lived in Brunswick, GA for 15 years, I've eaten this a lot. Some of the restaurants there serve it. The history is it was originally made with game meat like deer and squirrel together with chicken and pork. This looks like a good recipe. Looks like some of the recipes I've tried. Thumbs up!!

Ma used to make this. I called it kitchen sink stew. Not because it had everything but the kitchen sink in it, but because it reminded me of the soggy food scraps that collect in the drain.
