Just bought a 2010 to go with my 94na8 VVT swapped. The stock engine in the 2010 has no character. Definitely looking into this kit.

Mike B we have a Super 200 kit on our NC and even for the road it would be nice to have a little more oomph. So we’re going for the Stage 1 turbo which should give 260bhp.

@@alicebate6384 Got Super 200 kit too and to me it sufficient power on the road even if I/we want more from it. I'd like to know what is your feeling now you've lost the normal aspiration and got turboed.

I have Stage Two (300) and it feels completely different from N/A. Still decent throttle response - but the power climbs so quickly from tickover to 3k rpm that it's more Impreza STi than a tame roadster.

Do you use AT? (i won't judge .. as you may not be able to operate a clutch) Any mods will be for a manual as the AT won't handle that much torque.

Probably would have been, if it weren't for the Megane RS, which is faster, probably even more fun and extreme, plus it has room for 4 people and their stuff in the trunk and can be used every day.

derbigpr500 Megane will be faster in straight line and on takeoff, but there is no way that it can be more fun then great balanced rear wheel driven car. RWD is more fun, that's just the way things are my friend and no amount of electronic gadgets can replace that.

derbigpr500 The Megane is only faster because of it's tyres, put the MX5 on the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup instead of the Eagle F1s street tyres it was on and it would be seconds faster.

This car is on BBR's Koni setup (a street setup over track for sure). With good coilovers and better tyres this car would be much faster. Remember the Megane is a street car designed to be used on the track as well, this makes it a very different beast......and any petrol head worth his salt would take a good rwd over a good fwd!!!

I hope there's a decent tuner package that'll give 268bhp to the next MX5 because it would fit in nicely with the low curb weight, RWD, front mid-engine, and small price tag. That sounds like a dream car to me.

David Lewis Sweetness... also on that link is a link to BBRs plans for the next MX-5. Looks like they're in the process of breaking into Mazda3's 2.0 liter ECU since apparently it's encrypted.
