Should be slinging a bit more sand and dirt around with the brushless! I am team no spare tire. Looking forward to seeing what it will do with the brushless setup!

I was actually pretty surprised at how underpowered the 13.5 felt in there (on 2S). Admittedly, the BBX comes under geared, which doesn't help, but still. For running in a skate park, the 13.5 on 2S was great. On an open beach, I'd need a bigger pinion and/or 3S. 👊🏼

What would be a mild brushless kv value to put in my 90s frog that won't chew the gears to bits? Thanks!
@poorboysrc Жыл бұрын
Problem with the Frog (and all ORV chassis cars) is that with bigger power motors, the metal gearbox panels flex under load, and the diff starts to make really bad noises. So if you're planning on going brushless (even a mild, 3000 kv), you're going to need to upgrade the gearbox. You can add the MIP ball diff (which is what I did). Or I see on eBay now, there's a company making carbon Fibre ORV gearbox plates. I've never used them, but they look awesome. And from what I hear, they're much thicker than the stock plates, which eliminates the flexing under load, and will save your gearbox. So, a couple options on a must do mod before adding more power. Hope that helps! 🙏
