MY txt scaredycat-ness ranking 1. Yeonjun (he’s def scared of spooky things but not as cowardly, but gets startled extremely easily) 2. Soobin (he’s also scared of spooky stuff and is a bit more cowardly than yeonjun, but isn’t startled as easily as yeonjun still easily startled tho but his reaction tends to be less than yeonjuns) 3. Taehyun (taehyun literally never gets startled, ever, but he’s the most scared of spooky stuff. He’s a very cute cowardly cat which puts him above beomgyu) 4. Beomgyu (beomgyu is like… a very normal amount of startled and scared lmao. He’s not as scared at spooky stuff but more scared of anything sudden. So he gets startled but his reaction isn’t as big. In spooky scenarios he’s pretty calm) 5. Hyuka (hyuka absolutely just dgaf lmaoooo he was a scaredy-cat when they were trainees but now nothing startles him and he isn’t really affected by spooky stuff, but sometimes hell pretend he’s scared lmao. Only thing this man fears is heights but even then he still does whatever it is such as a rollercoaster or bungee jumping regardless of his fear. Def least scared of anything in txt.)

I think Beomgyu just gets scared when its real, he didnt get scared in games or the zombies ep because he knows that its just a game and they wont hurt him.

Yep! I agree with this. Hyuka is the one who floors me. He's just... unbothered.... by everything. All the time. He'll play it up sometimes for fun but he genuinely has *no* startle response. And he can hold hot things that other people can't touch, and put his hand in ice water forever, and be tickled without reaction. Add his general emotional resilience to that and the man is an absolute rock. Taehyun's lack of startle is part of the... slightly uncanny valley effect of his eyes. The man doesn't blink. Don't get me wrong, I love it, I think he's gorgeous and I love his wide eyes, but I get why some people find it a bit unsettling. For a while there I was like, wait, are you HUMAN because HUMANS BLINK. Beomgyu has a normal startle and... I think as long as he knows things aren't real he's not scared of them. Low immersion. I think Soobin and Yeonjun are about equal in terms of startle but Yeonjun's responses are just way bigger - he's super expressive and Soobin is much more restrained. I don't disagree with your ranking though. They're both sweet scaredy cats. It's fun to think about where I'd fall. My actual startle response is to freeze, which leaves people thinking I can't be startled - you can't tell from the outside that I froze for a quarter second. I think I'm actually in Heuningkai territory in a lot of ways, now that I think of it - I've handed people hot things I didn't realize would be painful quite a lot. 😂

In terms of only horror stuff, I would probably rank them all as 1. Taehyun (most scared): he admits it. he loathes it. if factors other than horror were being counted, he would probably rank around 3rd 2. Soobin: doesn’t admit it but you can see it. cannot deal with horror in any way shape or form, he would probably rank the same if other factors were counted 3. Yeonjun: pretty fearless when it comes to fictional horror (legend has it he’s still looking for a good horror movie) and thriller stuff but irl he goes ballistic over anything horror. if other factors were counted, he would probably be 2nd or 1st lmao 4. Beomgyu/Kai (least scared): these two are kinda hard to rank. we all know gyu was exaggerating during that game broadcast thing and he seems to deal with fictional horror pretty well.. I’m pretty sure he would be fine w horror irl too but idk.. kai on the other hand I have no idea about.. the members said that he’s the type of doesn’t scream even when he’s scared so we’re honestly never gonna know lmao.. if other factors were being considered though, kai would be 4th and gyu would be 5th
