Poof! Vanished into pixelated air. I've patiently waited as well, and I'm now at the conclusion they trashed their plans. Nemo omens are very nice platforms and their price reflects that. As well as the off-shoot of that rifle from a previous partner. The name always leaves me, but another very impressive platform. I've handled it and there isn't a tighter assembled ar style out there. Price reflects it as well. For B.C.A. to advertise a 1k cost initially, and then bump the price up another k shows a premature ejaculated spew.

I used to buy my parts from bca but after purchasing a red dot green dot sight and the sight start wandering, i contacted them via email on nov 4th and still no response, i have also reach out over the phone and to my surprise you dont get anyone that answers in any dept. so it is sad as i love my previous purchases from bca but i will no longer be a customer

Why don’t they make a bolt action AR platform for bench rest? A lot of people would buy one. Bench rest 22lr is becoming more popular as ammo prices rise on higher calibre ammo.

Swap to an adjustable gas block that has an "off" position, makes the platform single shot aka bolt action. There are drop in BCGs that convert an AR to single shot as well, pretty much same net result, they just don't respond to the gas pressure. Both of these work with standard pattern uppers. Then you can go to more customized uppers, like side charging uppers, or I believe there are companies that make exactly what you are asking for.

I was actually talking about 22lr , I own a BCA 22lr upper and after a new crown and a really good polishing it gets 1.25 inch groups at 100 yards. With standard CCI . If it was a bolt gun I’m sure it would be even better groups . Maybe one day BCA will make that move.

​@@Robert-S-doing it that way you'll have malfunctions. The bolt needs to lock up and be manually unlocked for it to work reliably.

@stoltzld80 The charging handle allows you to pull the bolt carrier rear wards, which by design turns the internal bolt and unlocks it to allow the action to fully open. The buffer and buffer spring push the bolt carrier back shut, and as the bolt carrier shuts, it also rotates the bolt into a locked position. None of this requires any gas pressure to work. The only way turning off gas will cause a malfunction would be if you don't shut it off completely. Partial gas pressure will indeed cause partial cycling of the bolt carrier. It's the same reason a piston version can be made with minimal changes to the bolt carrier. Now as mentioned above, none of this applies to the BCA 22lr upper, or really any blowback style of upper.

@@Robert-S- I have over 20 AR platform rifles, so it understand how they work. However, they won't work this way reliably. The bolt won't operate like a bolt action for very long before you run into problems.

@@itsjustjoe3790 I have been staying away from BCA. Both uppers I’ve bought from them have given me trouble. For the price I paid it’s still worth it but I laughed at the prices of their Glock clones. They offer 1911’s now too for $1k.

Damn yet another thing I gotta save for. Since my BCA 22LR upper runs like a swiss watch am hoping they can make a 10/22 with that kind of quality. My last 10/22 from Ruger is a hot mess, nowhere near the quality of its 10 year old sibling.

While I like the quality video production. I’ll trade it for Lamar and firing the customer service and shipping departments. I’ve had my own bad experiences with both. And see many other customers complain of the same issue.

Wouldn’t buy anything from Bear Creek Arsenal. They use casted materials when they should be using forged. Their feed ramp in particular are casted. It’s very dangerous to have your feed ramp come apart while discharging around. Which is the case with their 350 legend, A.R. 15 barrel. After it was damaged, I returned it to them at their request. They sent it back to me, the same way I sent it to them with no explanation. Bear, Creek Arsenal has terrible customer service, and even worse product. You put your life at risk when purchasing defective materials from Bear Creek Arsenal. And they don’t care if they kill somebody. As long as they make a buck.
