As we continue our Kootenay trip we came across this historic site of Alamo Siding which is just down from Sandon BC.
The Alamo mine, staked in 1892 during the initial Silvery Slocan rush, was worked off and on for 40 years along with an adjoining claim, the Idaho. While records are spotty, by 1926, the two had produced more than 25,000 tons of silver, lead, zinc, and copper with a gross value of $825,000. (Well over $11 million today.)

We've been there a few times but never saw the cemetery before. It's not hidden but you have to look for it! We found another one in a different video we did "Exploring the Kootenay Boundry" from The ghost town Pheonx!

I have been to Sandon a few times. If you catch Mr Wright the owner of Sandon and he is in the power building he will show you around .He has a Fairbanks Morse engine there worth seeing and a Blackstone which he runs on long weekends . The penstock and generator is in that building as well.

I've been in there a couple times. Its an an amazing powerhouse! I'm not sure if it was the owner or not but we got a really in depth showing of it. Thanks for watching. It's appreciated.
