Thanks so much for taking the time to record this. I've been struggling getting my set of BC BRs on my 2017 fit, and this was the only guide that mentioned the parts that needed reusing from the stock suspension. Simple and concise, much appreciated \m/

FYI I was able to relocate the plastic abs clip by lightly prying the latch with a thin flathead. Probably doesn't do much, but worth mentioning.

hey, thanks for this video. it's very complete! My 2012 Honda Fit has the Bilstein B14 coilovers on it, I installed it myself so I definitely recognize everything that you're doing. An unrelated question: this Fit has wheels+tire combo that has a rolling diameter significantly higher than factory stock. Out of the factory, the tire rolling diameter is 24.0 inches. These appear to be nearly 26 inches, how do these ride? Do they go over bumps and cracks easier? on the theory that a tire with taller rolling diameter will be able to 'eat' bumps and cracks easier, whereas a smaller tire will get 'eaten' so to speak? Any thoughts?

The overall wheel and tire set up we have is roughly the exact same overall size as the oem wheels. Just wider, so it doesn’t really affect anything in that aspect. However. Lower profile tires do ride harsher, just due to the sidewall being thinner and stiffer.

just curious. The function and form perch is installe backwards per their instructions on their webpage. Are the bc racing rear spring collar suppose to go on the bottom or top?

Thanks for your video, I'm about to buy some BC's for my 2006 GD3 model. The setup looks pretty much the same. Did you buy separate bump stops? Any issues since you installed the coilovers?

Thanks! The coils come with bump stops, but you need to use your oem upper rubber isolators, or you can grab a set of.. Cusco, I believe makes the spherical top mounts. As per issues, none, they’ve been great, as long as you make sure the preload is good, and everything is tight after install, you’ll be sorted. 👍

So where you were using parts from the previous coils for the new ones, does that only apply if the suspension that there before were actual coilovers and not the stock suspension? Asking since I'm looking at getting BC's for mine and it's currently on the stock suspension

The parts that were transferred over were from the stock suspension. You need to retain those components. 👍

How stiff did you make the coils?? Still trying to find the best settings on my Honda fit

So, when setting the coils up, I always start pretty high on dampening, usually about 4-5 clicks off max depending on the. Amount of clicks you have available, and the rear I’ll set 2-3 lower than the fronts. Reason being, stiffer struts will handle the stiffer springs the coilovers have, better. If the struts are too loose, you’re leaning more towards riding on the spring rate. Stiff springs with blown struts are a bouncy nightmare. Past that I just make sure to set the preload on the springs, lowering by the spring perch, and not the bottom collar, will change the way the suspension works. Hope this helps you. 🤙🤙

The rear is basically not happening, unless you get the rear arm/knuckle area cut, and welded solid at whatever camber degree you want. The front is do able, but I would expect to have to make a custom section where you could bolt a camber adjustable top hat to.
