I have a cabin near Kelly Lake (milepost 191) Lillooet subdivision. And since C N (de) Rail took over, they've had lots of accidents and other problems too. I'm about 9 miles away from Moran, where that locomotive went over the mountain last year. Fewer trains now too. It'll always be B. C. Rail to me!

Since CN took over there has not been a switching unit up there, they get the Road crew to switch with the power off their train, they even go down to the docks with as many as 6 units.

No, those are 3 GE C40-8M's, they were upgraded to 4400hp prime movers.

So there's a yard shift in Squamish now or? Was curious as to why CN is hiring conductors in Squamish, was hoping to apply if it's actually for Squamish and not told to move all over the map. Would like to live near Whistler! Do mainline crews work out of Squamish South and North?

Yup, basically they are C40-8W's with specially built car bodies. Consider them, modern F units, if you will.
