Another great but underrated BC Rich user: the late Mark Shelton (1957-2018 RIP) from Manilla Road! He used a Warlock both live and in studio in all iconic MR albums (70s and 80s), then kept it studio-only after that.

One of the key points for me as to why Andertons is just so good Lee is the virtuosity of your staff. Not everyone is like Ben here I know BUT... they are without exception - all 'Muso's' and know what they are talking about. So knowledgeable and product competent. (And yes! I am a Customer - I don't spend vast amounts BUT... ) Great video guys.

My introduction to BC Rich was by way of WASP In the 80's pretty much the entire band with the exception of Chris Holmes used BC Rich guitars. Considering their reputation as the leading Shock Rock band of the time, they were also top of the PMRC's "Most Wanted" list, i'm kind of surprised that Blackie Lawless didn't get a mention during the famous Warlock users section. The main reason i bought the Black Stranger Things Warlock is because it's a throwback to the Black Warlock he was famous for playing. Hopefully he'll get a mention in the bass section as he played the Widow bass on the first 2 albums before Randy Piper left the band & was replaced by Johnny Rod meaning Blackie went back to playing guitar. On the subject of the Widow bass. I'm fairly certain first one was designed by Blackie himself & was made specifically for him?

I’m equally surprised that they didn’t get a nod when discussing legendary Warlock players. And I’m in my 20s. Everyone who knows anything should know that the 80s were littered with warlocks and mockingbirds and Mick Thompson is extremely late in the lineage. I wish problem would do their research.

Also wasp, the tiny pictures on the sleeve of live in the raw. Always wanted a warlock but beyond budget as a teenager in the early 90s so I made one. All these years later I prefer the look of mine over the official ones with the contouring I done. Still proud part of a much larger collection now including the Mockingbird, pre legacy ST version (Slash Tophat).

The stranger things warlocks were built at HMI in India. Kind of hit or miss. I'm lucky on my second try I found one that was a cut above the rest and I modded it to my liking. It's a fantastic instrument. Big thank you to the owner Bill and the tech department for stepping up and replacing my first warlock that had issues with one that was perfect.

My friend Juan wired an "INVERTED KILL SWITCH" on his Black Ibanez S420. I have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how he managed to do it, but it works like this : You turn the volume OFF and when you push on the "inverted kill switch" you have full ON everything bypassed. It's basically like pressing on a key of a keyboard. That's one crazy greatest idea, much more intuitive than a standard "kill switch".

Love me some BC Rich's! I have two Bich models, one old bolt-on NJ series and the newer SE (which was supposed to be a Mick Thompson signature just before he jumped ship to Ibanez). The Stealth came before the pointy Jacksons by the way. The Warbeast is the front end of a Beast model grafted onto the back end of the Warlock. Mostly because the Beast was something of an acquired taste!

Neck through and through neck is the same construction thing. What you probably wanted to say when you were comparing the Warlock to the Stealth is neck through vs set through ;)
@zanzabar4ky7
@zanzabar4ky7 Жыл бұрын
He did not do a good job of explaining that since both have nothing to do with heal (ESP has set thru that look like a Gibson heal joint.) Neck thru goes all the way to the bottom. Set through has the bridge bolting to the neck. And in guitar is a Thru not Through for some weird reason.

Ive been supporting B.C. Rich guitars for 20 years. Ive had bronze series garbage (Yes you read that right garbage) ive had every shape every tribal pattern of Kerry King signature model. I had a Slipknot Mick Thomson signature model (I still want one the Warlock that has HATE inlay at the top of the fretboard mine only had it on the 12th) ive had every shape. Ive always been a fan but i must say i did not like the way the felt in the early 2000s no matter what model. Then about 14 or 15 years ago they made my dream models. The NJ Deluxe. I looked for years for them. I now own a Warbeast NJ Deluxe and a JR V NJ Deluxe reverse head stock. Then i just bought a Shredzilla Prophecy series. Out of all my guitars those 3 bc rich i play more then anything. I cant see my life without them. And i cant wait to get more bc rich in the future. Now BC Rich is nothing but good beautiful builds. They are pricey for the builds compared to other brands but the guitars are magnificant.

The ~1980 Rich Bich was a 10-string, often played like a 6 by Joe Perry, etc. The doubleneck design with the diverging necks is brilliant, as you have better access to the tuners than a std dblneck. Still looks cool af.

Neck thru means one board all the way from the head stock to the butt with wings glued on. Set through means the bridge is bolted to the tenon so the bridge bolts to the neck. Both of those have nothing to do with heal shape. You could make a set neck looking neck thru or set thru if you wanted. ESP makes a few set thru that look like normal set necks.
