Looks like a nice little sheltered spot on the beach you found there. I planted some of those trees on that avenue that you were cycling along at the end of the video with The Portsmouth Tree Wardens, local schoolchildren and the Lord Mayor.

A cookout on a bike ride is a great thing to do Rob, I shall have to take a leaf out of your book:)

One of the simple pleasures in life for me Sandy. Used to have cookouts with friends on the waste grounds of Portsmouth when I was a lad. Sausages and jacket potatoes. Great memories.

Yes I’ll be interested to see the Ryan Gosling film when it comes out, to see what part of the pier they used.

Recently discovered your channel and thoroughly enjoying it, subscribed. As a man past his best years I can sympathise with the body not doing what you want it to do and the bloody nuisance that doing simple things like standing up has become! I'm currently getting my gear together for some wild camping on Dartmoor (haven't visited for 35 years since Royal Navy basic training) and as a bloke who likes to cook I enjoy your culinary creations so there will be no expensive dehydrated meals (fancy pot noodles) for me up on the moor. Found out recently on local radio that Corporal Peter Robinson who was the marine in the famous photo lives a few miles from me. Very humble chap when interviewed by the BBC.

Is the Royal Marine you mentioned the one The Yomper is based on? I remember the image of him on the news walking across the falklands back in ‘82. Have a great time on Dartmoor. Take care there.

I'm partial to smoked bacon lol, one thing I wont film is me trying to get up from the ground lol, that Yomper looked huge

Yeah I wouldn’t normally film myself struggling to get up. Shows I really need to dig out my old chair.

good vid. any idea why everything aching in 50's?
@robtherover3 ай бұрын
@@patslee1394 with my knee it’s an old injury dating back to the 80’s that’s never been right since. The ‘sciatica’ camp I did last year affected it quite badly. I think the rest of my aches and pains is due to the cold I have.

Once again, bacon butties with no brown sauce. I think it's like some English law that you have to use brown sauce 😂 sorry you've been hurting so bad, my friend. Hopefully you can find some relief soon. Cheers, Rob!

I do love a bit of brown sauce but sometimes with bacon sandwiches, I like to just taste the bacon and butter on its own.

Wait ten years and you will wish you felt that good…joints only get worse. My kid is always telling me I make pain faces and noises when I do stuff. Have fun stay safe.

I think my knee will only get worse. Three operations on it in the past and that sciatica and cramp I had at camp last year really screwed it up. If I kneel on it it feels like it’s not there it is so numb. It’s weird.

Very nice peaceful video, makes me want to do the same :). Ryan Gosling has been spotted filming his upcoming movie, Project Hail Mary, and it’s taken the internet by storm. Gosling, who plays bookish school-teacher turned astronaut Ryland Grace in the film, was seen filming on South Parade Pier in Southsea, Portsmouth, over the weekend. In photographs from the set shared online, the actor can be seen sporting a yellow raincoat and spectacles, in action as Ryland Grace.
