I've been using one of these for sometime. Ideal for a warm drink or hot meal on a day hike especially during the lockdown. I cut off a lump and let it burn out and put the remainder in a small zip lock bag. Hand sanitizer gel just about works for later use.

Just a heads up on getting the fire dragon fuel. I’ve been buying it online thru eBay sold from people here in the US. Not bad on price and received it in a few days! Loved the video!!🤠

The bcb fire dragon stove is great vfor making cups of coffee/tea but is also limited. With hexi stoves you could put on more fuel for a quicker boil/ more heat but you can only have one block or equivalent amount of gel on at any one time. Also the part you put the block is to narrow so it limits the pot size.

The alcohol gel melts when it burns so have you tried just using straight alcohol (Heet) in the stove? It would be cheaper and it wouldn't leave any residue.

I have not yet but will definitely give it a try!

Tea-less hot water. Sounds like me at a Chinese restaurant, part of their culture is drinking hot water as they think cold water lowers your tea. Excuse me while I go microwave my tea.

Do these stink like the Esbit?

Not even a smidgen! I would say there is no smell really.. maybe a small hint of alcohol as you burn maybe if you are being picky. This is one of the reasons I love this stove
