Visit - www.bcf.com.au/ Snapper can be tricky customers to fillet and many a botch job has been observed on a boat ramp cleaning table. It isn't a task worth fearing though, as it isn't as hard as you think.

Thanks for that! The last two of the four fillets I got I picked the bones out with scissors, only took a couple of minutes and got a nicer looking fillet to serve. 👌

for nice size pinkies, leave as whole fish and cook in alfoil with herbs, gives nice flat sections when cooked.

Two questions, how did you manage to not attract any seaguls? No need to bleed and gut the snapper before hand?

Sweat as mate. Just for fussy people who are crazy clean nuts. Submerge your fish in a bowl of water and scale the fish. Keeps area clean and scales in the water of tub, or sink in the sea, whatever you fancy. Love the video tho cheers.

They would have been mush better to chill those right down before filleting...not so muchy and awkward...i usually leave my fish on ice whole over night and tackle the next day
