Thank you for this. I'm a youth football coach and I'm learning as I go. I studied this video so much and am applying it for our 7 on 7 season. The kids looked great. 3 interceptions multiple knocked balls. They were there every time. Our only problem is I'm playing 6th graders up a level at the 7th and 8th graders. Our opponents are to tall. We are out sized. In tackle boys made up for the out sized match ups with their hitting power. Here we don't have that option. The coaches got smart on the other side of the field and threw the ball high.

Great video, although the music is a little loud compared to your voice at times. Overall very well done though!

No sir...funnel #1 inside (shorten distance for safety to get over top), outside technique so you can see and pattern read #2 and 3...sink with #1 until#2 or 3 shows to flat (no one shows to flats, keep sinking!!!) Cloud force v. run (corner contains run, pitch on option, wheel route)...can play hard (press) or soft (off)...did you see UGA v. Bama in championship game last year??? See what happens when you don't jam #1 outside-in!?! If that corner jams WR inside, closer to safety, safety has better chance to get over top and make a play😉

Don't jump flat routes- always play deep to short and break on throw...safeties can angle pedal with QB front shoulder...front hand off ball> break on throw (align 12-15 yds deep outside hash.)

You seem to know quite a lot about zone coverages. I’m a Freshman in High School and I start my first season of High School football next season. I have no problem with any physically but I do need to learn more about the game mentally and watch tape. So when the defense plays Cover 2 my job as a CB is to keep dropping back and have my eyes on the #2 receiver (AKA slot receiver) just in case he does an out route or a route on my side? Or do I just jam the #1 receiver and stay in my zone the whole time?

@@dafreshprincestolemehbitch6340 eyes on 2, funnel #1 inside, shuffle shuffle weave out. Hands on if possible, eyes on 2 in doubles if he breaks outside then keep outside leverage and break on the flat, bubble, out etc. Forcing #1 inside so the safety and help over the top if necessary. Ideally 1 needs to end up on numbers or inside for safety to get a solid chance at it
