I have been lucky enough to ride Iwatake last August, and it is siiiiick! I can't wait for the MTB scene in Asia to develop further and eventually skyrocket... it has so much potential and a town like Hakuba is a great example of that. And the autumn colours are awesome in your video!!

Fun video. Sometimes green trails can be fun, one of the trails I rode today was squid line at sumas mountain BC. I think that is the best green trail that I have done.
@BCpov7 жыл бұрын
Squidline is a fantastic trail! I'd call it a bit more blue than green, but it's definitely one of the best trails in the valley.

How are you liking the Evil as compared to the Slash? Are you going to have to switch frames for races back here?
@BCpov7 жыл бұрын
Actually I really like the wreck. It's basically a more plush version of the slash. I'm going to keep the wreck for a bit, but I've got some plans brewing..

Sorry to hear about the Slash :/. Pretty cool you were able to pick up an Evil so quickly though. Btw how are bike shops in Japan compared to the ones in North America? Any special parts or accessories that we don't usually get to see?
@BCpov7 жыл бұрын
I was surprised how well stocked they seemed to be... like better than vancouver bike shops. Definitely some interesting, odd parts there. I bought some brake pad shims, its a piece of metal you place between the rotor and the brake pads to help keep a space between the rotor and the pad when lining up the caliper. You pull them out when you've tightened up the caliper. I tried googling for it.. and I can't find them!

The critter you saw was a Kamoshika (Japanese Serow) if you haven't figured that out yet. A goat-antelope if you will. I should watch the rest of the video before commenting...you answered your own question. I live in Japan and see these daily on the mtb trails. The poop was most likely bear...I've come across this too.

15:00 - It is so strange that Japanese can live and work at the mountain and area, and not have a clue what you were trying to explain to them. You'd think that at least one of them, especially the older ones, would probably be able to figure out what you were talking about.
