BCS Walk-Behind Tractor: PTO Engagement Slider Installation (Post-1995 Tractors)

Demonstrates installation of sliding PTO engagement slider/collar on post-1995 BCS walk-behind tractors; this video shows the "original" style PTO slider and gear, which was replaced by a different style in roughly 2012.
The assembly procedures are the same, but the parts look slightly different...we do have a video showing the re-designed parts as well.
NOTE: After the video, we did take the slider back off and replace the damaged spring!! We would not put a unit back into service with a compromised PTO detent spring, even if I did straighten it back out for the sake of getting the video shot... Also, As of 2014, The special BCS tool shown has dropped in price

Good video on the pto but is there a video on the transmission input seal, I’ve watched a bunch and have yet to see one where they are pulling it a part?

I am designing farming machinery. Is it wrong if i copy the good design ideas of established companies and do the horrible ones (damaging the spring with their own special tool ??? WThell??? I assume by a profesional ?) differently. How much of this is patent protected? If my machinery is bad i make callbacks and loose money. Cheap aluminium locking keys, internal hard to get to delicate parts, wear nonresistant parts that constantly rub. Not the way i do it!
