Calling it rn, I think Saturn is going to die this arc/lose control of his body. Since Egghead has been an inverse of Sabaody so far, I think we will get a inverse of the scene where Zoro almost killed Charlos and Bonney stopped him. So either Bonney will try and kill Saturn out of revenge for her father's treatment at the hands of the Celestial Dragons and Zoro may be positioned to try and stop her. Or he may not. Comparing Marines looking over their shoulders to civilians being scared of Celestial Dragons doesn't really work. There are very few Celestial Dragons. Most of them hardly bother to "come down". Sometimes a few do. But mostly civilians don't interact with them at all. And sure, the countries have to pay the tribute but I mean...don't we all need to pay taxes. Other than that they get to live in peace. The biggest problem civilians have and the biggest disturbance of peace are sill _pirates._ Pirates like the Whitebeard pirates, Straw Hat pirates or Red Hair pirates are the extreme minority. Most pirates are like we saw in East Blue like Arlong, Buggy, or Don Krieg. Think about it: Buggy was a "small" pirate. Not particularly powerful and a low bounty. He still destroyed half a town. Arlong wasn't particularly strong - all things considered - he still held villages hostage. And while we have seen extreme examples of zealous marines like Akainu go too far or assholes like Axe Hand Morgan or Captain Nezumi...most marines (who are rank in file soldiers) still just have the job to go around and fight/capture pirates who are being a menace. And if that "system" would break down _all hell_ would break loose. Forget about the Celestial Dragons. The Civilians would all get fucked by pirates. I feel like this is one of the things people seem to misunderstand most often: the marines _do_ protect the people. Far more so than the other way around. Think back to Captain Morgan's base. Most Marines are like those guys who were happy that Morgan was gone at the end, saluted Luffy and let Koby join them. We're talking about normal guys. "Fodder" without character names. Those are the regular dudes that make up 99% of the marines. Sure there are some bad eggs among them, too, because there always are but other than that they are just "normal law enforcement". And Civilians feel much safer with them than without them, generally speaking. People forget that most countries we've been to were peaceful! And if they weren't, it mostly were because of pirates. And you can't fault Sengoku for saying that the Marines are working hard to protect people just bc he couldn't find a way to protect _everyone_ The number of deaths on Ohara pales in comparison to the number of deaths due to pirates, tho. And there are exponentially more Marines that have or want to help civilians than there are Marines who have killed civilians for fucked up reasons. It's not like civilians in peaceful countries intuitively think that "marines are the bad guys!" - which they would if all Marines did was neglect people in need and assault them.

The Mihawk stuff is funny, but the guy has always seemed to be portrayed to want a quiet life. He didn't have a crew, he lived in a castle alone for years and years. It seems like that was the only reason he became a warlord in the first place. He didn't want to be a Emperor! I have a question. Let's say Kaido is top 1. If Kaido started using a sword instead of a club, would he be the worlds strongest/greatest/best swordsman? The problem with this logic is that Shanks hasn’t just picked up a sword. If Kaido picked up a sword he wouldn’t be anywhere near how strong he was. He would loose all his weapon techniques. It’s like how Luffy with a sword is weaker than with his hands. So to answer your question about is Mihawk really the strongest swordsman or is it a sword’s technique thing, I think it’s both. People are strong in one piece due to their techniques and transformations. Zoro without his sword techniques isn’t even third commander level. Kaido without all his names attacks is much weaker as well.

I totally agree with your logic. Even when people were surprised/ happy about the recent quote on Mihawk swordship even surpassing Shanks, I was just like…….we knew this???? Lol. I’m definitely more Shanks fan than Mihawk, but I love them both. So I have no bias. I give the edge to Shanks though, the implication to me, is that Shanks is more than a swordsman. It’s just so many hints that if you’re gonna downplay anybody strength, it can’t be Shanks. Even Kaido put Shanks in his top 5 only from an apparent “scuffle”. Which seems consistent from episode 1015 where Kaido was in his chair with just a smile, before Yamato and him fought that day. I think this was chapter 1000. I understand Sengoku standpoint because the marines are out there more than the celestial dragons are out there doing what they want. Also my guess is everyone vice admiral and up knows about Sword, lower ranking marines, regular citizen and pirates don't know about Sword. Remember the scene where Drake and Coby was speaking together and they were doing it covertly.

I suspect Cross Guild is going to do A LOT of stuff in the background while we inch closer to the climax of Egghead. They are 100% going to end up like Rocks, though. I think a party will invade Impel Down, led by Crocodile, who will recruit Doflamingo and Weevil (if the latter is there). Buggy and Mihawk may recruit the remaining Shichibukai such as Boa, Law, and Moria. Perona may vouch for Mihawk, and that would convince Moriah to join. Law will want payback against Blackbeard and some security after losing his submarine. It's pretty obvious what issues will arise from all the Shichibukai joining up... Law hates Doflamingo and vice versa. Boa is loyal to Luffy, so combat against him will turn her into a traitor immediately. Mihawk and Crocodile already dislike Buggy and are furious with him. Weevil is kind of an idiot and unpredictable. They'll be a force to be reckoned with, but the moment they go into a serious confrontation, i see them turning on each other and Cross Guild is just DONE. As for Egghead, I think Kizaru is going to try and antagonize the Straw Hats again the same way he did in Sabaody, but I fully expect Luffy to say "no" to that bs, and kick Kizaru's ass and probably even kill him. Kizaru has done too much to the crew, especially Luffy personally to walk away from this alive, especially if Kuma shows up and Kizaru ends up killing him and making Bonney anguish the same way Luffy did 2 years prior. No matter what, I see Luffy personally taking down Kizaru. Perhaps for good. It is important for several reasons that Luffy takes down Kizaru, and it will establish why the climax to the serious is coming in hot. I doubt Sakazuki will sit still after learning Luffy just beat his colleague.
