I’m glad you fleshed out The strength and tanky-ness of Blackbeard. As I was feeling underwhelmed by him. I didn’t think about how he really did take a enraged attack from white beard to the face and kind of shrugged it off (although white beard may have been severely weakened at that point). He also did take getting stabbed through the chest with fire really well. And considering how strong Luffy is and Ace being Rogers son, for Ace to say an attack almost broke his neck, even if it was one that caught him off guard when he wasn’t flexing, is insane. He really only hit ace two or three times and Ace immediately went to use his ultimate attack

In one piece vice admirals were never shown in a good light and now admirals are not that high of a bar, we have gorosei, imu now. These are the topdogs. Marine Admiral is definitely stronger than Yonko's Commanders. However, still weaker than Yonko. However, if a Yonko solo 1 vs 2 Admiral then I think the admirals would have an edge. So estimately at least 2 admiral = 1 Yonko. Thats why when Shank show up, everyone shit their pant. Remember White Bear was sick and wounded before fighting. If all 4 Yonko work together the Marine would stand no chance and the world would be plunge into chaos. That's what the World Government afraid the most

Shank's pirate flag shows the 3 scars on his left eye, indicating that the injury happened BEFORE he formed his crew and created his Jolly Roger. That means he wasn't a Yonko when BB hurt him. So we have absolutely no idea how strong Shanks was when BB hurt him. It could be anywhere from near pirate fodder to emperor.
