Out of all of the Gods Kratos murders in this game, I think Hades' death is the most brutal. Kratos literally ripped him apart - he cut chunks of him out, piece by piece. And then he cracked his skull open. Then after all of that, he rips out his soul. ...But...well does anyone else think that it was a bit weird that TWO of the main three Gods were the first two bosses in the game? I mean seriously - Hades AND Poseidon seem more suited to be defeated much later in the game.

I thought Zues's death was the most brutal. You literally had to punch him to death about 300 times until your screen is full of his blood

Ya know, Hades didn't deserve this: unlike Zeus and Poseidon, he didn't go around raping mortal women, and he didn't really pick on people unless he thought they deserved it, and he was known for being a competent judge of character in that sense. Overall, I pity him. He was a scapegoat in every sense of the word.

The river is full of the undead and lost souls, last time he swam in it, he nearly drowned and they drained his hp/magic to base level. The ability to swim is what gets him out.

@MrAwesomness17 Either he's on his second playthrough (so he knows all about the puzzles) or he's encorporating similar skills gained through previous GOW games in order to complete puzzles. For example, when he was putting the slabs under the wheel so it didn't move - that was a common "puzzle" in GoW2.

one problem I have with this fight is, why doesn't Hades have the ability to turn invisible? in the actual greek myth, Hades helmet had the ability to turn its wearer invisible, thats why he wore it. in fact, in the previous game, Perseus was wearing the helmet of hades, which was given to him as a gift for his adventure. nowhere in the true myth was Hades mentioned as being some kind of Hellraiser-esque being. his thing was mist and shadow, not necessarily pain.

a river? bro the river styx is the one that achilles dived into to become almost unkillable. any unworthy swimmer's body would be dissolved and soul lost forever

@Meerschaulk The gods he's killing on the way are the lesser gods and they don't depend on the flame as much as Zeus does....Poseidon depends on water for his power and hades gets his from souls etc etc.

@FreakinDeath actually if Hades died death would still exist just that all the soul's who died would roam free. In Greek mythology Death was a seperate God. Hades was just the God of the dead.

Kratos is the lord of the underworld after he beat both Hades and Thanatos.

I think the problem was, that Kratos was in love with Hades, but Hades was not into him or at least Hades did not want to be the woman in this relationship.. Therefore he killed his wife, took pices from g´his flesh and he took Hades soul to be forever with him. During the fight you could also see, that Kratos was not sadistic as always, but looked more with saddness.

impressive game, every second is something amazing. Good walkthrough, almost every walkthrough are just sh*t, people doesnt know how to play and often doesnt know where to go or how to kill the bosses and gets hitted a lot, u made this all the opposite ^^. Keep up the good walkthroughs!
