Enjoyed the video. You nailed the timing with the fall colors.

Yeh, we got super lucky with this whole trip.

love the 360 format - very cool - need to load into my VR headset, which I've honestly thrown in a drawer a few months ago! :D Thanks for sharing.

Yeh, I think the headset really makes it a fun option. It is cool on the phone. It is groundbreaking inside the headset. I am amazed we don't see every ADV rider shooting like this now. It is just too cool. I can't wait to do it again.

Literally blown away! So, I have an Insta360 One X2...can I achieve the same affect? I assume you simply uploaded the entire insta video as it was (ie without creating clips from cue points in Insta Studio). also, how did you get such a long runtime? Haven't watched the whole thing in one sitting so didn't notice if you stopped the video to swap batteries or cards...I see you did use your phone to see the camera view and I assume you also see battery and card level there too. One thing that really is cool about this is being able to see the dude behind you. That's a great aspect since it really gives a sense of the rider control and the road conditions. Well done!

This is my first ever 360 camera so I can't speak intelligently about previous products but I don't see any reason why there would be any problem producing similar results. The video was pulled off the camera and then edited via Final Cut Pro to have some control over what would be a part of the final product. I also didn't use my camera to view the output but instead just assumed with 360-degree shooting, I was bound to get something usable. I charged each night and the card I use is HUGE so I uploaded all the footage once I returned.

Whoa, what type of magic is this?? Really awesome! 😃

It’s not perfect obviously but I had kind of the same reaction when I saw it the first time. I cannot wait until it gets good enough to feel like you’re really there. If you have a chance to get inside a headset, it is even more incredible.

@@BeGoneForGood yea absolutely this is fantastic technology! Great job in leading by putting this out for the rest of us👏 I just put a hold on a 22 AT ES Manual here in northern VA, the bike is impossible to find! The dealership doesn’t even allow a test ride on this bike.. estimated to arrive late Jan. I’ve been looking at the AT and the 1250GS (not GSA).. both are great of course, found a great deal on a loaded 23 1250GS Demo bike for 19,999.. Still not sure, but leaning towards the AT (I like that apple car play feature too)

If you are having quality issues, hit the little gear icon and switch your settings to 2160 to get the best version of the video. This should help smooth out the blurriness. Thank you @mototravel

Very cool, did you have access to a paper map? BDR says they have a downloadable pdf but hard to find something printable. Thank you.

You really should showcase your bike and setup in the beginning and then do the ride and at the end let us know everything worked out, good or bad! Anyone can ride around and record trees and dirt roads. I want to know what will work to do what you did because I want to give it a try! I am using your channel for the information and not just an armchair dream. P.S. I did like and subscribe! Thanks.

I get what you’re saying but I’ll tell you that when I released this video there were NO videos of riding around in 360 degree capture. I have videos on the channel about my bike setup and what I carry but this was the very first where you could look all around while I was riding to view any and every angle you wanted. I don’t know how you watched the video the first time but I’d suggest a rewatch on your phone so you can move around and see different stuff and for a real treat, check it out in a VR headset. It’s unreal.

I love the "look around" feature, but the video quality is pretty terrible. Is that just me?
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
No…it isn’t. Between the speed of the stream and the compression from KZbin, it’s a LOT to process. It seems to get a bit better inside the headset or if you give it some time to buffer ahead but none of it is as clear and awesome as the real thing. I appreciate the watch and feedback. I can’t wait for this tech to give us some real quality footage so we can do this for every trip.

Go to the settings "gear" icon and choose 2160 quality, it improves greatly. Mine defaulted to 480p

Awesome. Thank you so much for helping with the quality issue. I didn’t even think of that “fix”. I am going to mirror your comment in a pin so everyone can see it.
@motojon762 жыл бұрын
@@MotoTravelUSA I did that. I changed it all the way up and still think it's incredibly blurry outside of the center. It's still cool.

The look around is nice . You did not talk about that section and where you started From. This information helps with story that why I liked your MABDR video. Why are you standing so much is roads that rough.
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely…this is a MUCH different thing compared to the MABDR vid. I will be doing a BDRX video using elements of this and it will feel much more like the MABDR vid. Sadly, getting this 360 video has taken over all my production capabilities. Once I finish this cycle, I’ll be back to the regular stuff. The roads weren’t rough necessarily but I feel much more in control standing as we move through unknown off road environments. Plus I can see further and be seen further. I also like the ability to cool down and keep the legs active while riding all day. Thank you so much for the feedback and I will get the “story” vid out as soon as I can.

I don’t know if it was on my end but the video quality was awful and unwatchable
