Nice idea if you don't want to play with (strong) sorcery all the time but want to keep it at hand for when you need it. If you are not running an authority build it could be an option to have an entertainer following you (set to attack nothing) to cleanse yourself.

Full authority+war party means you can use fighter+entertainer.And entertainer cleanse you even if he are fighting that time

It should be noted the farther you teleport the heavier amount of corruption you will receive. Tested from set city to witch queen temple (corrupted more than half my health) vs. Set city to mound of the dead (about a quarter of my health)

To immediately remove corruption use a hero heart… found a camp in siptah that seemed to have a pretty good drop rate

I'm PVE and jumped through a transportary portal at 50% corruption and ended up with 7 health and 3 stamina. nearly died.

You won't die. At worst, you will get to 1hp and 0 stam.

The cleansing brew good shout wak Right now i use the magic for star metal doing that makes you 100% corrupted well almost, have to be 20% to use the gather spell and it just keeps going up each time you gather, The PvE official sever I'm on seems to spawn all the star metal I was well over 80% corruption running back to my base in the jungle shitting my pants knowing I'm one hit one fall away from death. I can summon my body but still don't wanna die like that 😂

The bow does not expire as long as you use it. The timer goes up ever time you use it

In my testing I found that the Abyssal gear will reset the timer even if you are not using it, BUT you have to have some corruption. Seems even a little bit when you are killing stuff with something else will reset the timer. That said 'pocket sorcery' can be very useful especially for people who aren't into the whole sorcery thing but may want to pop a spell here or there.

interesting it has not reset the timer on my PS4 single player that might just be a thing that is happening for PC accounts

@@williamsearcy8981 Or it might be solo play or even percentage corrupted. I didn't do a deep dive into the testing, I was more screwing around running challenges when I noticed.

@@seamusoconaill8265 could be but a friend of mine that i play with on a community server has tested it out and it seems to be connected to a loop hole for the timer he has noticed it on servers as well that the timer resets while in your inventory but the timer count down will be different depending on the expiration timer in the settings the server we play on food doesn't expire for atleast 4 hours and he said that the armor goes from being an hour at default settings to an extra hour with tweaked settings but the timer stops counting down while your offline so there might be a connection to being online and offline to keep the armor for more than like 1 day

@@williamsearcy8981 I think if the server is set that you vanish from the server when you are offline nothing you have on your person decays. I know in solo you effectively turn the game off you leave. I expect if you stay on the server when you log out that it would be gone when you log back in.

1:18 with the tranport stones i found the more there apart from each other the more corruption you get at lest that what i found on the server i was on

Mixed feelings. PvE, very utile, do suggest, especially when wandering past places that may have meteors. PvP... yeah... Lightning Storm is a fairly significant alteration to the playing field. While easy to counter if a clan has their own Sorceror in Garisson, it is very potent if it gets to go for any length of time. Anything that makes it easier to sneak in, cast the spell and then ditch the corruption quick is going to be weighty.

To be honest I didn't even get deep into Sorcery because how game often freezes on console. I don't know if Sorcery will work for me at all man. From where I stand it's just for trolling and having fun. As for console Single Player, gaining corruptiom though portal traveling works on my PS4. I was getting so much corruption that my HP was down to 4 points and Stamina to 1[or vice versa - HP 1 Stam 4] xD. I think good advice to pocket Sorcerers will be putting somekind of weight reduction on at least armour because I can't tell if there's weight reduction fitting for weapons. If you know me wak, you know that I'm allways running with bearer build with all types of tools and weapons allways on me. I quess when times come I will expand my inventory with pocket Sorcerrer kit.

It seems like the harvesting via sorcery is much lower than something like the blood pick.. But depending on how far you are going I think it would be much faster overall given the time investment... It would be interesting to see a comparison of a run with a pick (like in the silver mine) vs a single cast of cull resources.

You can tp at your farming place. Use daggers to move around while too encumbered (or rebuild) and then kill yourself by removing the bracelet. Once at your base, tp your corpse back. It's great to farm things like stone, wood and iron. Not so great for other more scarce stuff because while you don't gather as much as with a pick, you gain in gathering time. And since you don't need to rebuild your character, i find it more attractive.

High level picks do give you a good bit more for most things. Though the spell is very good for a few things such as crystal and puffball mushrooms. It's just so much faster and easier to use the spell for those things.

Agreed and when harvesting something that's a pain to get (say star metal ore on solo) you'd want to hit it with a black blood pick instead. When you need a buttload of wood and you live in the desert you can respec expertise to max so you can move at full speed while encumbered run up to the highlands and clear them out pretty quickly. Also in The Temple of Frost clearing out all the black ice under the stairs quickly as opposed to fighting the frostbite. I recently did a run where I maxed out my carrying slots without having to play for hours and hours. Also it's good for people who build massive structures. Stone, and wood are plentiful but keeping a furnace burning 24/7 to make a billion bricks takes grind to a whole new level. I think that's the tradeoff though speed for efficiency. If you need a bit of something go out and harvest it, if you need loads of it mass cull much more in way less time. I do like your idea though, it would make an interesting video to compare tool vs spell in quantity gathered and time spent.

Overall amount will be less with the spell. That said, the materials for the reagents are less of a pain to get than black blood tools. Also, the speed. The remarkable speed. Another particular use is for starmetal. No need to bring explosives anymore.

to cure instantly corruption, when I'm in the Unnamed city, I just kill an NPC that drops a heart of a hero, and I consume it... clears corruption in a second :)

the ice bridge and slow fall have their usages but the time it takes to cast them is so damn slow.. I really want to use sorcery more but its so freaking slow.. Not to mention that when the ice bridge starts to break apart it damn near crashes my xbox one x..

well single player on PS4 is not broken with the magic teleporter after 1 teleportation i get 75% corruption which is what the Loc thing that you got to pop up for you until that effects timer ends you can cure 50% of your corruption but will be stuck with 25% corruption until the time is up i've tested it out many times in single player both with default settings and messing around with my single player server settings and game settings just to see if anything different happens but yea 75% corruption when you see it your character looks like they are even closer to being a skeleton which i found hilarious

I think he has maxed Vigor and Strength, which have perks that affect armor while being at 50% health (I might be wrong, havent fully watched)

@@wak4863 but skelos cultist master is a medium armor set and my pieces of it look nothing like yours does.. and it only gives 712 armor even with the master armor plating so it can't be skelos cultist master what your'e wearing at the end of the vid.. edit:sorry I messed up, had one wrong piece and the armor value is now right but the skelos cultist master armor I have still is medium class not light like yours is.. is there some special armorer that lowers the class of armor while he crafts it?
