My insecurities were what drove me to motivation, but i realize that i need a healthier image of myself that is more confident not based on accomplishments but just who i am.

I was a straigh A student, but then i married early, i tried to be "a good wife" n left behind my ambitions. But then it just didnt work, it left me insecure, n i burnt out. Now i realize i must accept who i am include my ambitions. The more i try to silent it the more it escalates. So, now, i follow my ambition, n catch up, n accept my self as someone who always wants a perfection, n there is nothing wrong about having this kind of personality.

I'd love to dig deeper into what you mean by ambitious. I mean, a far as I can see the common answer seems to be that an ambitious person is someone who works full-time in a high-status, high-paying job with a defined career path - you know as a doctor or a lawyer that kind of thing. Of course, those that know me well will realise that this description is far from the kind of life I live. So, it got me thinking about what is ambition or an ambitious person exactly. I mean, as a writer I have written over 100 books. As a runner, I have trained to run in dozens of half marathons and marathons. As a community-minded person, I have also set up several community groups and events to foster community spirit and raise funds for good causes. As a reasonably intelligent and financially stable man, I spent several years studying to get a degree and even paid my mortgage off in 10 years. I will also buy my second home within the next 6-12 months while renting out the other one and continue to invest in the stock market so I can achieve financial freedom in 5-8 years and set up my own scholarship fund to promote the values and principles of community education while investing in single malt whisky so I can fund my travels abroad. But despite all this and the fact that I am now writing my third novel, I have never spent more than a couple of years in my life working full-time, and I have never desired to have a job with a fancy title or a well-defined career path, and still just work a menial job as a cleaner/domestic. So, the question I'm really asking is this ambitious enough or not?

You bought a house inside 10 years without a job ?...

i paid the mortgage off in 10 years despite only working part-time as a cleaner. My point is I have a low-paid job but still have a great degree of financial freedom that many people in well-paying jobs with a defined career path don't seem to have. I mean, what is your definition of ambitious?

@@lifestoryguy I'd just look to a dictionary for the definition as it's not a word I use often. I am intrigued as to how you accumulated a deposit and paid for a house within ten years on such a modest income.
