Hi Tiffany. First of all I must tell you that I’m a big fan of yours. I love you your artwork and adore watching you create your art journaling. It’s so relaxing to me after a hards day of work. With that being said, I truly appreciate your words about being kind to yourself. We can be very hard on ourselves snd are sometimes our own worse critic. Yes, let’s be kind to ourselves. First of all, I appreciate that you "went that deep" because this is something I've been focusing on for over a month now. Having the reminder is great, plus for creators, we are our WORST critics! Besides, it seems your viewers like you "going deep". ;-) As for the page stunning!!! The orange made me think of an old rusted truck and I love it! Then when you added the really dark and orange rust paste to the element, I really think it ties in and works so well! I have the color bursts, but I haven't used them much, not because of the mess, but because I forget them! I'm glad you've used them! It reminded me of the intense DEPTH you can get with them! Thanks again so much for sharing!!

What a great reminder at this annual time of making resolutions, that we should be kind to ourselves. So often our resolutions are geared at "fixing" things about ourselves. I also loved that you teach your children to treat themselves with the same kindness they are to show others. I also plan to do these pages in my art journal. Happy New Year!

I adore this page SO much! Okay...I'll go back and try those powders again. I actually bought them BECAUSE of the color explosions that happen when the react. I am just in sampling mode with art journaling while I learn. Mine are in the pots, so it's hard to limit how much you add. Love your quotes and layout you did. Absolutely beautiful! I plan to use the quotes on a future project as well because I think most people are very hard on themselves when they would not be so harsh with a friend or family member. Myself included. Kindness matters... even to yourself!

This layout got my attention real quick mostly because of the gorgeous teal color. I too at first use with the powdered colors thought they were too messy for me because I like organization and order and planning. But I like what you said about stepping out of ones comfort zone (which for me is anything messy) because great discoveries may be the outcome. For example sImple cards are difficult for me to create but after making them exclusively for the last year I’m doing pretty well. I still have to push myself though. Always surprises me when a gal is working with mixed media when she says that’s it and stops. I’m learning that I can keep adding stuff or color and the piece looks good! Yours does. All the work on that little button though would make me want it to stick out more!! Too much thinking maybe! See what I mean? Lol
