Very informative review. I have only had lunch here and was not overly impressed either. The experience was enjoyable. I think this new show will be a good addition to the DIS offerings. I have to say that I really enjoy how articulate Charles is - I enjoy listening to anyone with a very good command of the English language. Thanks for all you do guys!

I miss Kevin and John's dining reviews :( Can we get another one from them?!?! I like their opinions when it comes to dining, nothing against the rest of the staff, but Kevin and John along with Pete, make the reviews entertaining and gives you a chance to relive the experience vicariously through them.

YES! Their review of The Coral Reef is still one of the funniest things I've seen from them. Kevin is hilarious and the three of them play off each other so well, it's great! I think I'm going to have to go back and watch that show now. LOLOL

I like their food reviews too but TBH I just love it when Pete Werner is there even more :) Charles & Craig are a lot of fun too. I do like to hear everyone's takes on every bit of food they try. So, yeah, I enjoyed this dining review a lot. I just wish Be Our Guest would do more with the Grey Stuff. Maybe add a noticeable amount of a fruit filling or extra almond extract? Actual pieces of cookie maybe?

I think part of the reason that those great restaurants have discounts is that more and more people are using the dining plan and the signature restaurants are two credits and few people are willing to use those credits on one meal.

I'm going to Disney for my honeymoon in October. I have reservations at Be Our Guest for lunch (because Belle is my favorite princess) and Ohana for dinner. I'm excited to try be our guest and I heard the prices for the quality are better at lunch. So I am still excited to try it. I think the gallery room could 100% be better themed. Why wasn't it the library? Or even Belle's room? It could have easily been amazing instead of a gallery.

Mobile ordering is the way to go. Before we arrived at WDW late June, Satuli Canteen was the only restaurant that offered mobile ordering. When we arrived, Animal Kingdom had added 2 or 3 more restaurants to their mobile ordering lineup. I knew then, mobile ordering was going through test trials and would eventually spread to the other parks. It's soo convenient. We ordered our food at Everest; started walking to Pandora; sent notification we were close on the bridge; and when we arrived, food was prepared waiting for us. We spend soo much time waiting in lines, this was a great relief, especially with young kids.

Great new series! Like the in-restaurant and in-studio format. It's really helpful to hear a variety of perspectives in one review(maybe bring a woman sometimes). And the in-retaurant was very entertaining and gave a good look at each dish. There are so many dining choices, and I want to know what's worth it and what isn't. We always splurge at one WDWorld-class restaurant, and I don't want to waste the time or money. So thanks. Agree that Jiko is by far the best WDW restaurant. Eaten there a half dozen times and I remember what I ate even a dozen years ago. That's saying something for a geezer like me. When my kids were younger and could order off the kids menu, they said it was the best food they ever had. It's expensive, but totally worth it. I would splurge on Jiko every time.

The last time I ate there, we were sat in the Rose Gallery. I loved it. It was the most pleasurable dining experience I've ever had at WDW. There was maybe three other parties seated in there and it was quiet enough that you didn't have to holler across the table to be heard. My sister in law is a hostess there so I have a soft spot for the restaurant anyway. ❤️🌹🌹

I'm so excited for this series because half the reason I want to go back to WDW is to eat at more places, I love your teams reviews and trust you. Last year my husband and I had our first experience at BOG, and while my husband loved his steak, my chicken dish was just okay and my rice was crunchy (which is never fun). I love the atmosphere in there, we ate in the West Wing, but I'm not going to be rushing to do it next time.

1000% agreement. I can not tolerate having my food and dining experience rushed. We travel to Disney from the UK every year. We have reservations at Be Our Guest for our next venture. I will certainly mentioned right at the time of ordering..."No rushing please." This is great for you to do this series and I look forward to the next segment.

Great review! I really enjoyed your new show. I have been for breakfast and for lunch to be our guest. I hope to try dinner in the future there. It seems easier to get a last minute reservation, than to plan ahead for this one unless its at the 180 day window.

We have had the pleasure of eating at BOG several times for dinner, at least 4 times. Each time, we have been lucky enough to be seated in the West Wing. While I still think it is good, I do agree with Pete with regards to the decrease in quality over the years. Our very first experience we were quite impressed with both the food quality and the service. Each time thereafter, we noticed the quality to not be as good. However, the atmosphere is fantastic. And yes, the desserts are nothing to write home about.

Mobile ordering is amazing! We did it this past weekend at Satuli, so easy. When we were back in our hotel room for a midday break, we ordered and paid in app with our card that all our magic band purchases were billed to. Pickup was so easy too! Good food at Satuli. I did BOG for breakfast this past Monday with hubby and my kids. We loved it! It's definitely not a ton of food and pricey for what you get but we enjoyed it. We had great service, sorry your server stunk Pete! Breakfast was fabulous!!

I used mobile ordering this summer at AK because this huge tour group had gotten in front of me (around 20-30 people) and it was SO convenient. I ordered it and got my food before 1/3 of the tour group could even finish ordering, it was fantastic.

We plan to do Mobile Ordering next trip in 2019. Give it a Try at Pinnochios Village Haus and Electric Umbrella.

Great first episode, love the Logo! I have only ever eaten there for lunch, I always get the Potato Leek Soup, Croquet Monsieur , & Orange Eclair. and I really enjoy all 3.....I did try the grey stuff once and agree it tasted like oreos in whipped cream/frosting...something I could easily make at home. Dinner is too pricey for me but I find it VERY good value for lunch, plus at lunch you can pick your seat....we always pick West Wing cause its quieter except for when there is Thunder. The ballroom is Beautiful, but way too loud and the gallery room is just kinda boring.

Had quick service lunch at BOG in the spring. Food arrived with and without items ordered. Ingredients ordered on salad were missing or on the side. Except for the sand and grit they didn't wash out of the greens.

I scored both a lunch and dinner reservation this month, and I cancelled the dinner because the menu didn't look great and the Beast was the only thing we were interested in. We stuck with our lunch reservation and it was delicious, relaxing (we found a corner in the ballroom, and they left us alone after we paid for our food at the front). I do appreciate that they didn't start the food until we got to the front of the line and paid for it at the desk. I had the carved turkey sandwich and grey stuff cupcake and it arrived and was amazing.

Had lunch here once just to finally experience BRG. The atmosphere was amazing, food was so so. I feel food quality always trumps price and theme. Always try to experience each restaurant at least once. Some of my special gems, the cheese pizza at Wolfgang Puck's Express, egg battered shrimp at Il Mulino - New York, and the grilled cheese quick service close to Test Track but have not seen this open for awhile. Good luck in your search for that special meal that keeps you coming back. Hi to Pete and the Dis Team.

I have to add one thing which plays into the value of this restaurant. If you're on the Disney Dining Plan this is only a quick service credit during lunch. Furthermore, you can now make a reservation for lunch so you won't have to stand out in the sun or rain for 2 hours before you're seated. I agree that the food is only average, however, when you consider that this is an experience you can get here and NO WHERE else, I think it is possibly the best value in the park when using the DDP for a Quick Service Credit. Instead of comparing Be Our Guest to Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern (2 good values for a table service credit in the M.K.) compare this to Cosmic Ray's or even Pecos Bill's or Columbia Harbour House. When you factor in the amazing ambiance + okay food, I think this is a terrific value! BTW - I realize that you have some upscale menu items available at dinner that aren't available at lunch but I'd suggest eating a steak or scallops somewhere else, seeing the beast in the France Pavillion and eating lunch at Be Our Guest. I consider this venue an attraction, not a fine dining experience. Just my two cents.

We went to BoG a few days ago for breakfast and the food was completely underwhelming. Small portions and blah flavors. That said, my ten year old thought the entire castle was magical. She roamed through the rooms with a huge smile on her face and wanted pictures of everything. So I say it was completely worth it if you have children.
