nice work mate ,when i was working for barrats a few years ago doing the same spec with the insulation i was getting £650 per thousand all in and 15 on the block ..are you getting the same..

Been a bricklayer all my life, retired now and I've never seen anyone bed the wall and not spread the bed, who taught you?

They call it pick and dip. Supposed to be faster than spreading a bed the traditional way.

I live in the North East US and we use pic n dip method I work with guys that have been doing it for 40 years and they have never seen anyone spread the wall we do spread the wall when we lay block usually 8in or 12in there are a ton of videos about pic n dip and why it's more efficient I've seen enough videos to know there are guys who are really fast spreading the wall and there are guys that are really fast using pic n dip so I know it's not like one way is right and one is wrong but there are people that think that way

Looks like you're making a more conscious approach to how you teach the lads working with you and its clearly paying dividends. Anyone watching should make sure they send the video you did on folding up the damps after brickwork to apprentices and improvers. It really isn't taught and it should be.
