I like how this focuses on how God builds us up first - not for another person but for us to be whole in Him. We need to find value in Him, and stop trying to look for someone to complete us- as long as we are doing that we will be like empty shells

I understand that some women and men may find it difficult to hear this, but what stood out to me the most is when he said "IF IT IS GOD'S WILL." Many women and men idolize the idea of being in a relationship or getting married, and I struggle with it too. I have to focus on myself and my relationship with God. If it is God's will, I will get married. If it's not His will, I will have to learn to accept it and understand that not everyone gets married. I need to realize that marriage is not the source of my happiness; God is, along with the relationships (friendships)I've built and the people around me. pls do correct me if I'm wrong😍

I believe that you are right! We are not all destined to be married and that’s a truth we must all accept. And I also believe marriage and singleness are two different gifts that God can use for His glory! Whether single or married it’s about being in the will of God. So if His will is marriage that’s awesome! And if it’s singleness then it’s even better because you have more time for God! Both are a gift and a grace from the Father. I thought marriage was a choice, if it's not a choice, isn't God just restricting our "free will". Also the apostles are the ones who decided to stay single for life after Jesus talked to them about marriage. I'm 99% sure that Jesus didn't say that they weren't called to marriage anyways

Being in a relationship won't help solve your issue with loneliness. You should develop a STRONG relationship with God and your friends while your on the path to finding a significant other. Think about it like this, if you aren't able to feel comfortable being alone with God and the other people close to you in life, how are you going to react with the closest relationship you have not being physically, emotionally, and spiritually present all the time. You should depend on God to combat loneliness not a person. Man will fail but God never does. Also logically spesking we'll all lose our signifcant others whenever Jesus comes back that's why marriage, dating, relationships dont really matter, but it's a gift from God he has us to enjoy but just know that gift shouldnt be your "God", enjoy what God gave you but recongnize being in s relationship isnt everything, the only relationship we need is the one with God. I think that it is a gift from God. It’s something we can’t choose to be married or unmarried, if we are following Gods will and His plan is to get married or stay single I think both are a gift from God! Thank you for your vulnerability. It is not a sin to have an attraction but it is to lust, fornicate or commit any sexual acts with someone outside of marriage. And committing homosexual acts is a sin too (1 Corinthians 6:9). I believe that every Christian can find freedom in Christ (John 8:36). This does not mean that the temptation to lust or commit sin with the opposite or same sex won’t be there. That’s a lie. The truth is we’ll all be tempted in many different ways, some sins more than others for certain people. So if you’re struggling with same sec attraction, recognize and believe that God can set you free from that sin. Then take the steps forward to renew your mind (Romans 12:1-2), meditate on Gods word/law day and night (Psalm 1:1-2), be surrounded by like minded believers who will push you to Jesus not lust or fornication. As you pray and sit in the presence of the Lord I believe He will give you the strength to overcome homosexuality, freedom/overcoming from the lust and acts of it. Again attraction isn’t bad but the act of lust in your heart/mind and/or codifying the act is. So seek Christ, don’t try to overcome by yourself, repent and turn to Him and He will renew your strength (Isaiah 40:27-31). Gods got you, seek Him with your whole heart and He is always there! Repent from any sexual sin and follow God, He forgives/gives grace to the humble! I hope this helps my friend! Don’t give up on pursuing God because of sin, there is freedom!

We all have our struggles. I struggle with the same. God is good and I want you to know that he gave you the power to fight this spirit. Every day you are blessed with the opportunity to give yourself up to God. From my experience denying that craving has begun turned from a curse to a blessing because I am able to do something difficult for god and I see it as a chance to make him happy. I know it's hard, it can feel like you'll never be happy or find love but we are called to trust our heavenly father with those desires. "Whoever seeks to keep his life shall lose it and Whoever loses his life will save it." Trust in the lord and you will not be disappointed

Love still exists because God exists! (1 John 4:16). And marriage is very much alive! Just many don’t want to put God first and so marriage falls apart. I’m sorry to hear that the world has left a sour taste in your mouth. It has for all of us! But there is hope, hope in Jesus, and not just a hope for marriage but far beyond that. A hope of eternal by faith in Him (John 3:16, John 6:47), a forgiveness of sins (Colossians 2:13-14), and a new life! (2 Corinthians 5:16-18). Follow God, you’ll find new life, peace and reconciliation, and restoration! It’s not an easy path, matte a fact it’s really hard but it’s end is eternal life and God who will walk with you each day!
