I miss singing this song!! I remember learning this, trying to figure out his handwriting because we didn’t have a published copies!! Maestro Gibbs is an amazing musician to learn from, I was blessed to work with him at RVC. ❤

I went to Kentucky State Univerisity for 2 years and inbetween changed to vocal...when i got into choir this was the very first song that i sang and my high school choir will sing this song EVERY year!!!!!!!!!!!! my absolute FAVORITE chorale song of ALL TIME and that will never change!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first heard this when Alabama A&M sang it at a concert that they invited my high school choir. I had an out of body experience. To this day, this is my #1 choral arrangement. Im more of a HBCU bandhead but as a music major i've come to appreciate this song even more.

This was my VERY first INTRODUCTION to KSU Choir.. I heard them sing it live one year, and I knew I was going there.. I was in tears before they even got deep in the song. It's one of my favorite choral works ever, and I haven't heard too many collegiate choirs duplicate that masterpiece of a work... But.. This is a VERY good Representation.. I'm about to rip this and burn it.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Who ever posted this thank you. I graduated from Renaissance in 1998. The RVC was my home and provided me with the path that God would used to call me to Him. Bass Hype!!
